You Will Be Mine

Chapter 1

Alex's POV

I sit on the couch in my house, and I try to ignore the noise that everyone is making.

I really can't believe that those people aren't kids, because they're worse than my nephews, even if I would put all of them together.

"Can you behave?" I ask my brother, which makes his mate laugh.

"I really doubt that he can." Edward says.

I roll my eyes, and I go back to my place on the couch.

A while later, the front for opens, and Isaac walks inside, along with his mate and their three kids.

Jasper, Stephan and Calum are almost the same age as me, they were born a year after each other, and Jasper is only a little over a year younger than me.

The three of them come over, and we start to talk.

Well, I try to talk with Stephan, while Jasper is trying to force me to pay attention to him, and Calum is on his phone, but that's nothing new.

I know that Jasper likes me, but I definitely don't have any feelings for him, so I reject all of the affection that he tries to give me.

It would be a lot easier if Jasper wasn't trying to force me to like him, and if he could just accept a no as an answer.

To be honest, I do like Jasper, but not as anything more than a friend, and the main reason is the fact that since I remember, everyone is telling us how good we would look together.

So, after hearing it million times, it gets boring, and I really can't see us working out.

There's also the fact that I'm already old enough to find a mate, and I'm very sure that it's not Jasper.

But a good thing is that Jasper will have his birthday soon, and hopefully he will find his mate, and leave me alone, because I would like to have my friend back.

"Where's Brett and Mia?" Stephan asks.

"No one cares." Jasper says.

"I care." Calum tells him.

"They should be here in a few minutes." I tell them.

Brett and Mia are the children of my brother's friend, and they should be here for this little get together very soon.

They're a few years older than me, so they're already adults, but we still like to hang out, and I've been friends with them since Oliver and I moved here.

"And Ford?" Stephen asks me, talking about my brother's other friend's kid, who's a bit younger than us.

"He's upstairs with Oliver and Edward's kids." I say.

"You could just say that they're your nephews, not your brother's kids." Calum says, and I roll my eyes.

"I know, but they're not much younger than me, and it kind of feels weird." I say, although I do say that they're my nephews most of the times.

Not much later my nephews come downstairs, so we talk with them for a while, until they decide that we're too boring for them, and they go somewhere else.
