You Will Be Mine

Chapter 46

Alex's POV

I run towards Jasper as quickly as I can, and I try to move the tree, so I can see if he's alright.

Calum and Stephan help me, and we manage to move the tree to the right, so I go back to the unconscious Jasper.

I remembered that I forgot to tell him that I will be away for the whole day, because Edward agreed to take me with him to his work today.

And I wanted to tell him about this, so I decided to run after him and his brothers, and when I finally reached them, I saw that the tree was about to land on my mate.

Jasper is still breathing, which is a good sign, I tell Stephan to run to the pack house, to get the Doctor, because I know that I shouldn't move Jasper.

He might have some back injury, and his state doesn't seem serious enough for me to rush him to the hospital.

Calum and I stay with him for a few minutes, before the Doctor comes here.

I move to the side to give the Doctor some space to work, and he starts to examine Jasper immediately.

Not much later, he asks me to help him put Jasper on a board that we will use to carry him to the hospital.

The Doctor said that Jasper will be fine, but his rubs are crushed, although it's not because of the tree that had fallen on him, but because he landed on a tree branch when he fell to the ground.

I sigh in relieve when I know that he will be alright, and all of us go to the hospital, while Jasper's brothers are carrying him on the board.

He wakes up before we reach the hospital, and he asks for me immediately, so I quickly go to stand by his side, and I take his hand in mine.

"I want to stand up." Jasper tells me, sounding slightly panicked, but he's most likely still in shock, after seeing that the tree was falling straight at him.

"Your ribs are crushed, so you will have to stay like this for a while." I tell him gently.

"Did the tree hit me?" He asks.

"I don't think so, it must have stopped on something, since only your ribs are broken, and that's not because of that tree, other than that you don't even have a bruise." I tell him.

He stays quiet, while he lays on the board tensely.

Thankfully we reach the hospital quickly, and the Doctor leaves all four of us in one of the rooms, before he goes to make the operation room ready.

He could have tried to rebreak Jasper's ribs without a surgery, but he's not sure if he will be able to do it like that, and he doesn't want the bones to heal incorrectly, so we decided that the surgery will be best.

We wait only for a few minutes, before the Doctor comes here, and he takes Jasper with him.
