You Will Be Mine

Chapter 43

Alex's POV

I'm already tired, Isaac and I had to convince two stubborn teenagers that what we're planning to do will help their brother.

And after a very long discussion, they agreed to keep this information to themselves.

Now we're watching the TV, waiting for Jasper to come back, but we're interrupted when Isaac's phone starts to ring, so he picks it up, and I hope that it's one of the guards that wants to tell him that they found Jasper.

But Isaac frowns, and a few seconds later, he has a smile on his face, so I guess that it's someone else.

"I will be there soon, I want to see him." Isaac says, and then he hangs up, before he stands up, and he almost runs out of the living room.

But I catch him by his shirt, and he looks at me with arched eyebrow.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"Brett woke up." He tells me.

"I want to see him too. Can I go?" I ask, and his sons say that they want to go with him too.

"Come one then." Isaac says, so we go with him towards the pack hospital.

Brett has been in a coma for a while now, so I hope that he will be alright now, and hopefully he will tell everyone that Jasper didn't hurt him.

When we enter the pack hospital, we walk straight into Brett's room, and he smiles when he sees us.

His parents, mate and sister are already here, so we sit on the other side of his bed.

"Where's Jasper?" Brett asks, most likely because his brothers are here.

"Why would you want to see him?" Don asks him harshly, not believing that his son would want to see the person that he assumed was the one who beat him.

"Why wouldn't I want to see him?" Brett asks his father with a frown, definitely not knowing about all the accusations that Jasper got over the last few weeks.

"I have no idea. Maybe because he made you lay here in a coma for weeks?" Don asks him sarcastically.

"What are you talking about?" Brett asks him, not believing that his father is telling him this.

"He didn't touch me. I was walking through the woods, and I saw a rogue, so I was trying to run away, but when I was nearing the pack house, I tripped over something, and I must have hit my head." He tells us.

Isaac and Don look at each other, with guilty expressions, while Brett's mate just strokes his head, most likely not wanting anyone to see that he feels guilty too.

"Why have you done?" Brett asks his father, who stays silent, until Brett repeats his question, this time harshly.

"He found you, and he brought you here, so I thought that he did this to you, because he started to be aggressive not long before that." Don explains.

Brett glares at him and Isaac, before he turns back to his father, who looks like he would prefer to be anywhere else.

"There's more." Brett tells him, and Don groans.

"Lee and I hit him a few times for this, not long ago." Don says, and Lee looks at him with a glare, clearly not expecting Don to say it.

"I swear that I will kill you when I will be strong enough to stand up from this bed." Brett tells them.
