@TheFourtifiedOne 2016

As we coasted towards the restaurant for dinner, I couldn't help but think about how far my family and I have come. 8 years ago, I made a deal with God to spare the life of my only daughter and in exchange he could use me how ever he saw fit, since that day, I've been doing my absolute best to stick to my word.

Now, by no means am I up in church on Sunday or spoutin' bible verses like there water, but I've been keeping my hands clean, and Cooks even has my ass volunteering around the city every now and then.

Glancing around the SUV at the second chance I've been given at happiness, I beamed. Laylah is 11 now and growing more beautiful as each day passes. Modeling has grown into a passion for her with Balenciaga, Nike, Valentino, and Cartier campaigns lining her resume, the princess Lyon is a preteen force to be reckoned with.

The Laylah Lyon brand is huge, thus she's now getting ready to break into acting with an upcoming Netflix show and I couldn't be prouder. My eyes scanned her face as she scrolls through the pages of her I-pad in the seat behind us, next to her younger brothers, all three sporting their Special Edition Empire headphones we partnered with Beatz by Dre on last year.

The twins bounced around while battling against each other in some online game on their Asus Rogs and talkin' cash trash in the process. Caleb and Colin are nine going on ninety, and they're truly a handful to say the least.

Caleb is the musically inclined one, the boy can sing, rap, and I'm currently in the process of teaching him the guitar. He picks up on instruments lightning fast, but he's a hot head like his mama or maybe me at times, depending on who you ask. Personality for days, there is nobody on this earth that can tell him he's not a superstar already.

Cookie swears I'm the reason Caleb thinks he's hard, I mean yeah, the boy does swear he's thuggin' and I'm sure me letting him listen to a couple of my old albums didn't help the cause none but, I don't want him or his brother to ever get too comfortable with their surroundings.

It's important that all three of our youngest know where this family comes from and despite where we sit now, this family came from the streets, so they need to always remember that and be mindful of what comes with it.

Now, Colin on the other hand has never really shown any real interest in music, he's got talent but he's more into sports, any sport quite honestly. He's been a standout at baseball, soccer, and football, but here recently basketball has jumped out as what seems to interest him the most.

He's very good too, and I'm not just saying that cuz he's mine, the boy's got game. So because Colin has always been the more levelheaded of the two and his grades are impeccable, Cooks and I hired Steph aka Chief Curry, to come through and give him a couple of private lessons starting next week as a surprise.

We made a sizable donation to his Children's Foundation last year, so when I mentioned it while my baby and I were at All-Star weekend, he didn't mind at all.

Of course, Colin does have his own little arrogant swag about himself too but it's nowhere near as bad as his brother.  Yet, they're all outspoken and as we all know, they get it naturally.

Hell, look at me and their mama.

Speaking of the beautiful Mrs., my gaze drifted over towards her seated beside me, scrolling through her phone, the purplish streaked hair accentuating her youthful appearance, prompted my smile to grow even brighter.

53 where? 6 kids who? Giving all-natural body in every ensemble dawning her curves, she's aging backwards in my opinion.

"What?" She chirped, casting me a glare from the corner of her eyes.
