Caleb

Finally, it's lunch time.

The cafeteria at our school is enormous so most of the time two or three grade levels eat during the same period, which means I'm able to see Lola and Laylah most days, plus it's got like four or five different restaurants in it too and a Benihana's stir fry line, so ya boy eats well.

"Hey, you good?" Colin asked as we headed out of our math class briskly strolling towards our lockers.

"Yeah, I'm straight. That fool Javon betta be lucky we weren't outside for recess or in the gym. I woulda put some of them WWE moves on his butt for talkin' trash and tryin' to mess with my girl." I confessed as my twin nodded and we reached our destination.

"Aww, chill bro. You know he's a hater. Probably still mad that dad, Mal, and Keem's song beat his brothers for Song of the Year at the ASA's last year." He chuckled then nudged me. "Don't sweat it." He advised, while sliding his math book into his bag.

"Yeah...well either way, that punk betta watch out fo I kick his a--."

"Before you what?" A soft feminine voice muttered behind me, and a smile instantly floated onto my face as random convos engulfed the hallway.

"Hey Lo." I stated while turning around. She always knows how to make me feel better and how to calm me down.

"Yeah, don't hey Lo me lil boy. What's up?" She inquired, adjusting the strap of her Bottega Veneta bag and facing us head on.

"Oh, Nothing...nothing. Just some punk that's mad he ain't as fly as the kid, ya boy King Caleb feel me baby." I joked, dusted off my shoulders, then waving as if addressing my royal subjects.

Lo and Colin laughed, "Yeah alright King Caleb, don't start no drama lil boy. You know what grandma and grandpa said, so best behavior negro." She scolded. I sucked my teeth as she draped her arm over my shoulder, and we began our journey towards the cafeteria.

"Aye you comin' to my AAU game this weekend right Lo? You know we're in the playoffs and ya boy finna wreck shop on dem bums. Steph showed me this fire new step back spin jumper a couple of weeks ago and they ain't even ready." Colin muttered.

"Yes, yes, of course imma be there." She spat, posted between us while we continue coasting through the hallways.

"I wouldn't miss a chance to watch my lil bro ball out on em." She grinned with a smirk along her lips.

"Ya uncle you mean." I playfully countered.

"Shut up." She joyfully retorted then lightly popped me upside the back of my head and we all laughed. Approaching the cafeteria I noticed Bishop, Lola's boyfriend, even though she doesn't think either of us know that little gem, lingering against the wall and chatting with a couple other upper classmen.

My chaw hitched as I noticed his eyes scan her then instantly make his way over towards us, "Hey give me a sec guys...I'll catch up." She beamed, while trouncing towards him as Colin and I lounged next to the lunchroom doors.

"Ion like his ass Colin." I sternly hissed, my eyes squinting in the direction of the two undercover love birds.

Colin smacked his lips then nodded. "Don't trip. He seems cool but I hear you tho, his vibe ain't all the way kosher wit me either. We'll keep scopin' him out. Long as he treats Lo right and don't try nothin' then we won't have to tag team him bruh." His affirmed.

Frowning, my nostrils flared while Bishop pulled her into a hug with a devious smirk along his face, she kissed his cheek as they broke apart then put her hands against his chest.
