Cookie

I took a quick glance down at my watch, damn, I can't believe that a whole hour has flown by this quickly, but I've been so caught up in this conversation with Trent that neither of us has noticed the time at all.

Trent and I have always been cordial with one another, I mean we have to be because Cody and Laylah work so closely together at Netflix, but this is the first time that we've ever really sat down and talked for an extended period of time. I was just as surprised to see his ass as anybody, but it's turning out to be a better time than I expected.

A slow sip from my glass of water trailed through my lips while we sit across from one another in this quaint little bistro that he'd suggested in the center of town. Now, downtown Saranac Lake is far from the hustle and bustle that encompasses New York City, it's a rather small suburban town but most people here have or come from money.

The weather outside is a little nippy but the various hues of color from the leaves scattered about the scenery surrounding us is very beautiful and I'm just taking it all in cuz I never get the chance to see this in the city.

I didn't wanna come outta the house at first but now, as I listened intently to the sexy chocolate sculpture in front of me, I'm glad that Porsha insisted. I shook my head to snap myself back into reality outta fantasy land where crazy thoughts were running through my mind...Yo ass is still married Cookie, remember that...I inwardly chanted as I noticed Trent lick his lush lips and then sip from his own drink.

Deciding to jump into the conversation to escape my thoughts, I mean his ass is extremely sexy and it's been a while since I've had any....hold up, the hell you talkin' bout, girl you hardly know this man...I told myself, but it damn sho didn't stop my mind from wondering tho.

"So you mean to tell me that you were the only boy in a house full of girls growin' up and you still can't fix no hair?" I chuckled because we'd been talking about his six-year-old daughter and how she always loves for him to brush or comb her hair when she visits him.

He laughed, revealing his dazzling smile before he replied, "Hell nah, I mean I can part it and make a couple of nice ponytails...if I do say so myself...or something in that arena but that's the extent of my hair care knowledge and abilities." He grinned.

I couldn't help but laugh a little, he reminds me of Lucious in that way because he tried and tried to get the hang of doing a girls hair when Laylah was smaller but his ass still ain't got the hang of it to this day. "That's just pitiful Trent. Down right pitiful, poor baby...I feel sorry for her head when she's with you." I told him.

"Hey, at least I be tryin'." He blushed.

"True true, I guess you do get a few points for that." I tossed back as the waiter came over towards us.

"Is there anything else I can get for you two?" He asked and promptly left after we both told him no thank you.

"So, tell me what do your sister's think about you and the whole talk show thing? I was kinda surprised to see you on a billboard...you don't seem like the talk show typa guy." I blurted because apparently he has just started filming a brand-new talk show on Oprah's network and it's been being advertised everywhere, but from all he's told me so far and from being around him, I kinda see him as more of a behind the scenes kinda guy.

"Oh God, please don't bring that up." He smiled, "Man, my sisters are crazy. I didn't think I'd like doing a show like that at first, yet it's actually kinda cool, but all my sisters stay clownin' me cuz they say my suits be too tight and the studio lights be reflecting off the top of my head." He stated and I couldn't help but laugh cuz just the mental image of that shit is hilarious.
