seoyeon slams her locker door closed. letting out a deep sigh, stretching her neck. she already knows that today was going to be a long day. she heads to her desk with her notebooks and necessities, taking as little steps as possible.

she wanted to talk to jungwon. she needed to talk to him. but she hasn't seen him at all. as if he disappeared into thin air. he was nowhere to be found. she could already tell he was avoiding her, that made her feel upset.

seoyeon places her books and pens on the table, setting up for class. she decides to look at the class notes to move ahead. this way she could distract herself from jungwon. but only for a little bit.

every 5 minutes, she would check the time. picking up her phone and staring at 4 digits on her home screen. 8:45 am. it has only been 15 minutes since she has gotten to school. time was passing by so slow.

seoyeon will never get through the day alive at this rate. she didn't even have any classes with jungwon today. let alone the project they need to do together which is due in a week.

maybe, she'll see him during the breaks. will he even come or is he really dedicated to avoiding her. the thought of him not hanging out with them brings a frown upon her face. hopefully he doesn't avoid her during lunch breaks.

the teacher walks in the classroom and announces to everyone, "ok class, take out your books"

just the voice of her teacher is already making her zone out. she couldn't wait to get out of there.

seoyeon sat down at the table with everyone else, looking around for a particular boy. where was he?

"seoyeon, it's your favourite menu today!" eunchae repeatedly taps seoyeon's shoulder in excitement.

"kimchi jjigae?" seoyeon's eyes light up at the thought of her comfort food.

she was really craving a warm and spicy stew right now.

"let's go, manchae" seoyeon grabs her hand and walks towards the counter filled with different lunch menus.

all of the different foods were organised into slots. seoyeon lazily scooped some rice onto her tray, walking to the next station. decorating her tray with some side dishes and vegetables, slowly nearing the main menu she was craving.

one of the ladies at the counter gave her a bowl of kimchi jjigae, her favourite, and placed it onto her tray. seoyeon was definitely going to be content and full from today's lunch.

she headed back to the table with eunchae and there was still no trace of jungwon. it was like he no longer existed. it's already been half way through the school day and seoyeon didn't see him once.
