Third person pov

Casey sleeps in his team's dorm room, dreaming about watching his younger self in the garden with his adoptive mother, Summer Rose. Suddenly everything around him turns black as night as shadows consume him, then there is a voice that sounds ancient. "You will be mine," The spokesperson said when a face jumped out of the shadows scarring Casey.

I woke up screaming from the nightmare I had just had. My team woke up soon after as Matt walked towards me, "You ok, partner," he asked, worried. "Yeah, I'm ok, sorry for scaring you guys," I told them. "Are you sure, man, because you woke up screaming," Sam commented. "You want to talk about it, Casey," Natalie asked. I thought for a moment and decided to go ahead and tell them about what I saw in my dream, from the younger me with my adoptive mother to the voice in the shadows and the face that jumped out of the shadows.

After telling them about my dream, to say they're shocked is an understatement. "That is fucking scary," Sam commented. "I can say that I'll scream after witnessing that," Natalie added. "What do you think this means, Casey," Matt asked. "Honestly, I don't know," I replied. "Something like this never happened to me before," I added. "Should we tell your sisters or a teacher, preferably Ozpin," Sam asked. "My sisters, maybe, but I don't think I should involve Professor Ozpin about something as silly as a nightmare," I tell them. "Casey, this could be serious," Natalie explained. "Look, it could be the stress of me being your guy's team leader or the fact that it's the first day of class, which reminds me it's time to get ready for class," I tell them. The three of them looked unsure but reluctantly dropped the subject for another time and decided to get ready for class.

After getting our uniforms on with me having my jacket undone, the shirt untucked, and the tie hung loosely around my neck as Matt wore his properly, Sam wore his Sword Art Online, and a dress shirt but no tie or jacket, and Natalie wore hers properly. "Sam, why aren't you in uniform," I asked. "Hey, you aren't in uniform either," Sam commented. "Actually, I am; I am just wearing mine differently," I told him. "Sorry, but I'm going to dress how I feel," Sam commented. I decided not to push it further and head to class.

We made it to our first class, which was Grimm Studies with Professor Port when I noticed that neither Teams RWBY of JNPR had arrived yet. "Where's Ruby and Jaune's teams," Matt asked. "I don't know, but knowing Ruby, she'll have her team doing something insane," I commented. "How do you know that," Sam asked. I just stare at him, basically asking him what the fuck. He seems to get the message as he turns away, feeling stupid.

Teams, RWBY and JNPR arrive a few minutes later before the bell rings. "AHH, so good for you to join us; please; please be more vigilant next time," Professor Port commented. With that, Ruby's team sat on the first row in front of us since my team and I sat on the second row. I decided to lean towards Blake, "Hey, why are you guys almost late," I asked Blake. "Ruby wants to unpack and decorate, which takes longer than expected," Blake replied. I gave her a nod in understanding since I knew how Ruby was.

"Demons, Frowers of the dark, what I like to call them are Pray," Port explained. I don't have to use Shadow Reading to know this guy is full of himself. "This guy isn't telling us anything important," Matt commented. "I know, right," I replied. I didn't know what happened, but it grossed Yang out. "Now a story about a young Huntsman, me," Port said to us as He began telling a story of his youth.

As Port tells his story of his youth, Ruby is being childish, but she's only two years younger than anyone here. As for me, I try to focus on the dream from last night. I told the others that it was just stress, but I felt it was much more than that. The way that person speaks to me as if she knows me. But I have a feeling that I know her as well, but I can't place a finger on how I know her. My train of thought got interrupted when Weiss raised her hand, "I do," she said as she got up and headed to the changing rooms, probably getting her gear on. I looked at Matt, confused, "What happened," I asked my partner. "Port has been telling his story of his youth with Ruby being childish, and the Professor asked who has what it takes to be a Huntsmen or Huntress and Weiss volunteer," Matt explained. I gave him a nod in understanding.
