Casey pov

I'm currently in the team's RWBY dorm room with my team as I will discuss with the others what my aunt Glynda told me, Yang, and Ruby the other day. "So, Casey, what is it that you want to discuss with us," Sam asked. I took a deep breath as I began to tell them. "Well, I got some information on my birth mother," I told them as I pulled out the picture that Glynda showed me the other day and showed it to them.

"Who is she," Matt asked me after a few minutes of silence. "Her name was Glwendonlen Cross," I told them. "But she used to be known as Gwendolen Goodwitch," I tell them. Everyone except for me and my sisters looked shocked when I said this. "Hold on, Goodwitch, like Glynda Goodwitch," Sam asked. "Yeah, Glynda Goodwitch is my aunt," I told them. "So your birth mother is a faunus," Weiss commented. "That's pretty much it," I told her. "Did she tell you anything about your birth father," Blake asked. "Other than that, she blamed him for Gwen's death, no, she didn't," I tell her. "Your birth mother is dead," Natalie asked. "And Glynda blames your birth father for her death," Matt added. "That's what she told me, yeah," I told them. "Do you think that Your birth father has anything to do with your birth mother's death," Matt asked. "No, I don't think so," I told him. "From what our dad told me, my father gave me to my adoptive parents for my safety," I explained to them. "What do you mean by your safety," Matt asked. "I don't know, but I have a feeling that something is going down," I told them. "Well, it's getting late, and we have the field trip tomorrow," Weiss commented. We agreed as me and my team headed out of team RWBY's dorm and headed to ours.

As we walked out, I saw Jaune standing in front of his team's dorm room. I signaled my team to go ahead and go to bed as I walked toward Jaune. "Jaune, you good, man," I asked him, which started him, causing Jaune to jump. Jaune turned around and eased up when he noticed me. "Casey, you scared me, man," Jaune commented. I chuckled at this. "Sorry, my friend, but I noticed that you are not going in," I commented. "Did you lock yourself out of your dorm room again," I asked him. "No, all good," Jaune told me as he pulled out his scroll. "Then what's going on," I asked my friend. Jaune looked down, defeated, as he put his back against the door and slid down on the floor. "I screwed up big time, man," Jaune told me. "What do you mean, Jaune," I asked him. "Before I tell you, promise me that you won't tell anyone else," Jaune asked me. "You have my word as a fellow team leader and your friend," I told him. "I didn't go to any combat school, or take any test, I got in by using fate transcripts," Jaune told me. I was shocked by this. "Why would you do that," I asked him. "Because I want to be a hero like my father, like my grandfather, but all I do is screw up, and now Cardin has me on a leash because of it," Jaune told me. "Yeah, you screwed up big time," I told him. "I know," Jaune commented. "I wouldn't blame you if you told the professors about this," Jaune added. "For something like this, I would, but for a friend, I wouldn't," I told him. Jaune looked at me in surprise. "You still call me your friend even after what I told you," He asked me. "Jaune, what you did is wrong, but you did it for a good reason," I told him. I stood up. "Jaune, you need to keep your head high, what's done is done, and there's no going back," I told him. "You're here now, and a leader," I commented. "There's no room for error, because if we feel down, then we're going to drag our team down with us," I added. "We have to put our teams first and ourselves second," I told him. I walked towards my dorm when I looked at my friend one last time for tonight. "Remember what I said to you when we first met," I asked him. "You told me that my sword and shield are the source of strength given to me by my grandfather," Jaune told me. "I know that there's power inside you," I told him. "You just have to believe," I added as I walked into my dorm room and went to bed for tomorrow's field trip.

The next day arrives, and the four teams follow Ms. Gooswitch through the Forever Fall Forest. "Yes, children, the Forever Fall Forest is beautiful, but we're on a mission," Glynda told the class. "Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so," Glynda added. She then stopped and looked at the class, causing the four teams to stop, which caused Jaune to pump into Cardin, causing him to look at Jaune angrily. Casey notices that Jaune is carrying a buzzing box, which he hears thanks to his newly inquired wolf ears.
