Chapter 5: The Date

Casey pov

It's Saturday morning, and I am heading to Tukson's bookstore to work since I work part-time there. But honestly, I am nervous about tonight since tonight is my date with Blake. I still can't believe that she asked me out, but happy that she did. Me and Blake both planned for the night we'll be going to the movies and going to a restaurant for dinner, but we couldn't decide on what restaurant we wanted to go to. Maybe Uncle Tukson can give me some ideas on what restaurant to take Blake to.

I soon arrive at Tukson's bookstore. I entered the store and imminently got greeted by my uncle, "Morning, Casey," Tukson said to me. "Morning, Uncle Tukson," I said to him with a smile. "Whoa, what's with the smile, kiddo," Tukson asked me. "What, I'm not allowed to smile," I asked him in mock hurt. "No, that's not what I mean," he told me. "It's just that I've never seen you smile that big before, so I got curious," Tukson explained. "Well, that's because I got a date tonight," I told him with a big smile, causing Tukson to be shocked by this. "Whoa, seriously," Tukson asked me. "Yep," I told him. "Casey, I'm so happy for you," he said as he gave me a big hug. "So, who is the girl who stole my nephew's heart," he asked as he let me go. "Well, her name is Blake Bellondona, and she is the most amazing person ever," I told him. "Oh really," Tukson said. "Yeah, she has the most beautiful amber eyes, the cutes laugh, and the most adorable snores," I told my uncle. "She even likes to read as well," I added. "She seems like a real catch," Tukson commented. "So, what do you have planned for the date," Tukson asked. "Well, we'll planning on going to the movies, but we haven't decided on a restaurant, and I'm hoping that maybe you have any recommendations for a restaurant. Preferably a Faunus-friendly restaurant," I told him. "So, Blake is a faunus," Tukson asked me. "Yes, but she hide her ears behind a bow," I told him. "So how did you find out," Tukson asked. "Shadow Reading," I said to him. "You really need to get that under control," Tukson told me. "You try to control a semblance that you have no idea to control," I told him. "All the same, learn to control your semblance," Tukson told me. "Got it, uncle," I said to him. "Now get to work, I don't pay you to stand around," Tukson told me. "Got it," I said to him as I began working. "While you are at it, I'll come up with ideas for your date," he said to me. "Thank you, Tukson," I said to him as I started working.

Blake pov

I am currently with my team doing dress hunting for my date with Casey. I still couldn't believe he said yes to me to go out on a date. While we're looking at the dresses, I couldn't help but feel a little concerned about the prices, as some of the dresses are a little expensive. "Guys, I don't know about some of these dresses," I told them. "What do you mean, Blake," Ruby asked. "I mean, the dresses are a little expensive," I told them. "Don't worry about the price because I'll buy the dress for you," Weiss told me. "Really, Weiss," I asked her. "Of course, I can see how much you like Casey, and he seems like a good guy for you, so I want to help in any way I can," Weiss explained. "Wow, Ice Queen is being nice," Yang commented. "Hey, I am nice," Weiss commented. We laugh and continue to look for a dress for my date.

A half-a-hour later, I found a beautiful short, purple, asymmetrical, halter neck dress that is split up the right side and had a black collar. Translucent black mesh covers the shoulders, decolletage, and back, and decorative black swirls cover the left side of the dress and continue up the left strap. I took the dress off the racks and headed to the changing room to try it on. After changing the dress, I walked out of the changing room to show the others.

When they saw me in the dress, they imminently complimented me on the dress. "That is definitely the one," Yang said. "It does suit you well," Weiss added. "Casey will definitely love the dress," Ruby added. I couldn't help but smile at this. "Ok, I'll take it," I said as I went back into the changing room to change. While I was changing back into my clothes, I couldn't help but think of the possibility of me and Casey enjoying the date.
