I didn't know whether to consider the coronation as a wedding or a very overdressed prom.

Erica took me outside the barrier to get a dress that the people of the town didn't make. Due to the multiple attacks that the pack has had, we got a lot of security. It was just Erica and me, she started to ask me about my life. What was I majoring at college, what was my life like growing up, and what was my love life like? I would answer by being careful not to overshare, but I also knew she was only trying to get to know me so I didn't hold it against her.

"When we get to the castle, I just know Isabell will adore you," She said looking down at her phone and texting someone.

"Isabell. She's the youngest princess right?" I asked.

"Yes, our parents had her just five years after they had you. The wolves that are on the board wanted another werewolf, but the witches wanted another witch, and the witches got their wish." she joked.

We slowly pulled up to the first store, we stepped out and three guards quickly took a stand by our side. The guards were dressed in black jackets which had a wolf in the center of a shield with vines wrapping around it in the back. They must have been part of the royal guard.

We walked into a large boutique that had a warehouse look to it. There were rows and rows of dresses going all the way to the back with a desk in the center of the store. The lady at the desk looked up from her papers and smiled at us when we walked in.

"Hello, how may I help you?" she asked.

"We are looking for a jaw-dropping dress for a big party, no dress is too big," Erica said with a big smile.

The worker led us to an aisle of dresses and showed us a section that had different dresses on the racks. Erica went through the dresses taking some off and holding them up to me to see if she liked them, the first few dresses she didn't like and put them back on the rack. She did the same for a few more dresses. The ones she liked she'd put them over her arm, once her arm got too full she took us to the dressing room for me to try them on.

The first dress was a thin strapped dress that was a light violet dress, it was cut open in the front where my legs would show, and had a long back that trailed behind me. I opened the door and walked out to the little sitting area outside the dressing room, Erica sat on a long couch waiting for me to come out. As I walked out another worker walked me to a podium to stand on and she fixed the dress as if we were in a bridal shop.

"How do you feel about it?" Erica asked, looking me up and down.

"It feels nice but.."  I paused and looked in the mirrors covering the wall before me.

"It's not the one," Erica said, taking my silence as an answer. "It's okay, that's the beauty of shopping. To the next dress," she said cheerfully.

We spent the next hour trying on dresses and making piles one for maybe and another for no, the workers that were helping us put back all of the no dresses. I was starting to grow tired of trying on dresses, and seeing what looked good on me and what didn't. I put on the last dress that we had picked out. It was a floor-length silk blue dress that had thin straps on the shoulders with a very low open back. I walked out of the dressing room to see Erica, she slowly looked up and froze.

"How do you feel about this one?" she said walking to me as I stood on the podium and looked in the mirror. I know it was just a dress but I felt so happy to see myself in something so beautiful.

"I think this is the one," I said, still looking into the mirrors; I looked to see Erica giving me a small smile.

We bought the dress and headed back to the pack, Erica was busy on her phone on the way back so it gave me time to check up on Jasper.
