Chapter 9

Amaya

After the girl left I went into the bathroom to try and freshen up. After today I was so tired, I had to make sure there was clothing that would fit me before I went into the shower so I wouldn't forget. Luckily the closet had a few shirts, shorts, and other things that I would need.

Once I got out of the shower and dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, I felt a sharp hot burning pain in my body from my feet to my head the pains mainly lingered in my chest. It hurt so badly I fell to the floor, I gripped my chest in pain holding in my screams. The pain slowly started to go away for a minute and I gladly welcomed the air into my lungs

As I was taking deep breaths, the pain started again this time ten times worse, I let out a bloodcurdling scream to try and relieve the pain. I was so lost in the pain I didn't realize it when someone came into the room.

"Amaya?" someone called, it was a voice I had not heard before. I looked up to see a guy that looked around my age, he had a muscular build like all of the other guys here. He looked as if he came from an Asian background, he had platinum black hair and the prettiest of brown eyes.
The sharp pain brought me back to reality, I tried curling myself into a ball to help with my pain.
"What's wrong?" he asked
"I don't know" I cried "It started to happen all of a sudden" the more I talked to the more the pain grew.

The guy stood there for a second and something must have snapped in his mind. He started to mutter to himself, he walked past me and entered the bathroom. I heard the water turn on and footsteps coming to me. I was lifted off the floor, the more places were he touch the hot the pain got, I whimpered in pain at his touch.

"I know. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I'll beat the jackass myself" he said in a low and apologetic voice. He placed me in the cold water, I immediately tried to get out of the water but he held me down.
"No, you need to stay in here for a few minutes," he said holding me down. I sat there as I was told to do.

A few minutes passed by and I was a little cooler. The guy was sitting on the floor across from me with his hands on his knees and his head hung low but I could see him.

"You did all this to help me and we don't even know each other," I stated looking at him, he lifted his head and looked at me.
"Was that a question or a statement?" he asked being snarky

"Both" I responded he chuckled a little.
"Well, one I am just a nice person, and two I'm Elijah"

"How did you know what to do?" I asked. His face dropped as he started to look down and play with one of the many he had on his fingers, he took a long breath before answering my question. 

"Melina and Jacob are mates but, they are afraid to have sex cause Jacob is known to go hard and Melina doesn't have a good history with that kind of thing" he took a pause and looked at me "they came to an agreement that they can sleep with other people to satisfy themselves. The first night Jacob went out, Melina started to have the same kind of pains as you did. Jasper and I took her to the pack doctor where they said that it was the mate bond snapping in half to save her wolf spirit."
He got up and walked over to me.
"That only happens when your mate rejects you or they are being intimate with someone else."

The pain that had me on the floor crying for help, thinking I was slowly dying, was because of Jasper? I looked down and my wet self in the tub fully clothed playing with my shirt. The way he has been talking about the mate bond I thought he would take this seriously.

"Hey, you don't feel hot anymore, how bout we get you out of here and into something dry?" Elijah asked. I nodded my head and stood up with the help of Elijah, I walked into the closet to find dry clothes.
