Missing chapter

Jasper
Once we passed the barrier, we quickly started diving to our destination. It was as if Amaya was racing time itself, once we got out of the open road and started to encounter traffic I could feel the breath I was holding in release at every stop light and sign.

"Where are we going? You need to be pushing a hundred?" I asked as we
stopped at a red light.

"Well, I haven't been out of that town for months and neither have you, so we are going to the one place where we can party, drink, eat, and have fun," she said, turning her head to me. She looked at my hair and started to laugh.

"On second thought, you're not going anywhere with your hair like that," she said as she ran her hand through my hair. It sent a warm spark that surrounded my head as I closed my eyes and leaned into her touch.

She took away her hand which made me quickly open my eyes to see that the light had turned green, she continued to drive into the city. The sun had just started to set when I realized where we were, as the city's bright lights came into view I knew immediately where we were.

"Why are we in Vegas?" I asked as I turned to see her cheeky smile.

"Because I want to give you an expensive night. You're about to be twenty-one and everybody goes crazy when they turn twenty-one," she said looking at me and then back at the road. I couldn't help but smile, the thought of her planning all of this for me made my birthday more bearable.

We got stuck in traffic, and as the car slowed down I took the opportunity to kiss her. I leaned over and grabbed her cheek, I held my hand on her jaw and the base of her neck. She immediately leaned into the kiss, pulling me in closer to her. I pulled away and opened my eyes to see her's were still closed.

"What was that for?" she said as she opened her eyes, looking at me.
"My gift to you for all of this," I said grabbing one of her braids, she chuckled and continued to drive.

She dove up to a hotel that just grew taller and taller the more I lifted my head to see the top, the building that was more than a hundred stories. She drove around the circle to the front of the hotel, a valet came to take the car as we stepped out. They handed her a ticket and she took my hand and started to walk into the hotel.

"What are we doing?" I asked her and we walked hand and hand to the elevator. The doors closed and she turned to me and wrapped her hands around my neck, staring into my eyes.

"Amaya," I said to snap her out of her gaze, she lifted her eyebrows to let me know she was listening. I put my hands on her waist and brought her closer to me.

"Will you tell me the plans for tonight?" I asked

"Where's the fun in that? What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," she said. I moved my hands from her waist to move her back and down to her butt, I dropped my hands to the hem of her dress, and just before I was about to slightly lift her dress the doors opened. She dropped her hands and took mine.

"You're safe. For now" I whispered into her ear, she tried to suppress a smile but failed. I looked up to see that we were in a restaurant on the roof of the hotel. Tables were everywhere looking over the whole city and a fountain on the ground shooting up water.

I was so amazed by the scenery I almost didn't hear Amaya talking to the person at the front desk.

"Reservation for Michael," she told the worker, once she found the name she led us to a table. Amaya turned to me and smiled as she grabbed my hand and led me to the table. I pulled out her seat and pushed her in before walking to my chair.
