Derek's POV

I blink my eyes open and stifle a yawn as I wake. Stretching out my legs until that tight feeling stretches across them from thigh to toe. It's only then that I remember where I am and who I am with. Stiles is lying with his back to me, face buried in the pillow and his hand still clutching mine. His mouth his open slightly and his lashes are so long that they brush onto his cheeks in the same way that some curtains tease the floor. He's beautiful. I can hear his breathing and feel the steady rise and fall of his chest as his lungs expand and then release oxygen. Slowly, one at a time, I wiggle my fingers from his own and ease myself out of bed. The room is still relatively dark but my heightened eyesight and the knowledge of the layout of my own rooms helps me to my dressing room. I grab a fresh pair of boxers, some socks, a black pair of tracksuit bottoms and a white t-shirt and head back into the main room. Stiles is still asleep, so I decide to shower in the communal bathroom downstairs so I don't wake him. I'm at the bottom step when Peter appears with a spatula in one hand and the other placed on his hip.

"I hope you didn't take advantage of that boy!" He snaps, glaring slightly, my wolf responds to the challenge and I flash my alpha eyes at him to remind him whose in charge. "Spare me the light show Derek! We both heard what he said last night, about how that wretched boy tried to do something to Stiles- which he couldn't tell his Dad- and now you're creeping downstairs with your clothes in hand, wearing nothing but your underwear!" Damn. Okay. I didn't know Stiles has grown so much on Peter.

"Nothing happened. He was scared and didn't want to sleep on his own so he asked me to stay with him. I asked if he wanted me to wear pyjamas but he said no. We just slept next to each other- and these clothes are clean. I was just going to shower down hear so my shower doesn't wake him!" I sound defensive but Peter can tell I'm telling the truth. He sighs, shoulders dropping as the tension leave his body.

"I'm sorry. It's just, he's been through so much already. He needs a break." I only nod, because I know this. I can feel how he is feeling through our mate-bond, only slight twinges but recently they've been getting stronger. But I don't tell Peter this.

"I know." I sigh and turn my back on him to go and shower.

...

Water is still dripping from my hair when I emerge from the bathroom, making the fabric of my t-shirt clear from the contact. I've slung my towel around my neck to try and prevent this but it's not doing much. To my surprise Stiles is awake and eating pancakes at the table, Peter at his side, and the teen is wearing one of my hoodies. I have to grit my teeth as I sit next to him, the smell of our mingled scents practically begging my wolf to claim him.

"Morning." Stiles mumbled, a slight blush on his cheeks which isn't helping me at all.

"Morning. You're wearing my hoodie." I state, looking him over and seeing his blush deepen to a darker shake of pink. Peter kicks me under the table.

"Y-yeah. Sorry, I should have asked." He smiles sheepishly and I shrug, forcing myself to inhale the scent so that I can try and get used to it.

"I don't mind." I mutter, taking a few pancakes from the main stack that Peter has cooked.

"Did you even dry your hair?" Stiles snorts as another drop drips, this time falling onto one of my pancakes. "Here" he says, rolling his eyes as he stands up. Peter frowns, as do I, wondering what Stiles means, but then he takes the towel from around my neck and drops it over my head.

"Stiles. I can dry my own hair." I grumble, but my wolf is sighing in content at the contact and attention from our mate.

"Evidently not. Don't be such a Sourwolf" he teases and I go to comment back but all thoughts stop as he begins rubbing the towel against my head. I can feel his fingers adding slight pressure as he rubs at my scalp, massaging my head at the same time as drying it.
