OVER ME [ZEROBASEONE]

IX.

The past few days had been going in the same pattern in Fyona's favor. She would wake up around a decent time, shower, change into new clothes, and get served breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in her room usually by yujin. And finally, stay inside and do nothing.

As of the fourth day, fyona wished to follow the same pattern, but at the time she was supposed to eat breakfast, yujin came in with empty hands.

"Zhanghao wants you to eat with the rest of us." She did not want to face any of them, but when yujin said half of them were gone, she rethought the idea.

I will have to face them sooner or later.

She got up and began following the younger but much taller individual to the dining table.

On the way there, fyona was caught up looking at her surroundings, the whole area was lit up by the rays of the beaming sun shooting through the naked windows.

The view outside was just like the one in her room.

While walking through the hallway, yujin made an abrupt stop in front of a double door. Fyona instantly remembered the doors being the same ones she first attempt to escape from. But one thing was very different from last time. The doors were sealed close and only opened when yujin placed his palm on a black screen next to the door which fyona had probably missed noticing as she at the time was in a hurry to escape this hell hole.

Once his palm was scanned, a clicking sound came from it, implying the door has been unlocked. Yujin pushed the door and held it open for fyona.

As fyona walked past the door frame, she was met with the same staircase she used not too long ago. Memories and questions began flooding her mind as she walked behind yujin again when he started leading the way upstairs.

I clearly remember the door being open. Why was the door open last time? Did they add the lock after my attempt so it won't happen again?

But then she remembered the blonde guy waiting for her in her family car as if he knew she will end up there right away.

Also how the doctor did not run after me but only watched..

..did they leave it open on purpose? Just to test me?

A shiver ran down her body as her head made more ifs and theories, but she was interrupted when yujin finally stopped in front of another double door on a random floor. She took a glance at the side for a number that could tell her what floor she was on but found nothing. When she looked back, however, she saw more stairs heading to topper floors, meaning they aren't at the very top.

Fyona glanced back at yujin's back after she heard a click. This door also had locks and security, which only supported her theory more.

They did leave it open on purpose..

She wished she could overthink the situation more but when yujin turned around after slightly opening the door, the girl could do otherwise.

"Ready?" He asked in a small voice, sounding very concerned.
