"Are you sure about this?" I ask Vik. He nods. "Dead sure."
I walk over to Hermione. "Can you please come with me?" I ask her.
She looks surprised but agrees. I take her to where Vik is. Vik immediately steps out from around the corner. I quickly excuse myself.
As I am waiting for Hermione to come back, Ginny Weasley walks over to me. "What is happening?" She asks suspiciously.
I raise an eyebrow trying to decide if she is like her brother. "Vik wants to ask Hermione to the Ball but he hasn't got the courage to come and ask her himself."
Ginny laughs. "He is a famous quidditch player and he hasn't got the guts. How can I expect any boy to ask me then?"
I laugh too. "That is kind of true." I agree. "But I wish that whoever asks me will do it in a big way."
"Malfoy is asking you, isn't he?" Ginny asks confused.
I shrug. "He is complicated." I tell her. Ginny rolls her eyes. "Not around you." She tells me. "Around you he can be read as an open book."
I roll my eyes. "Don't let him hear that." I warn her.
Hermione soon comes around the corner looking excited. A small smile comes to my lips. Vik is behind her watching. He catches my eye and nods in a grateful way before walking away.
"We need to go dress shopping together." I hear Ginny say. "All three of us and Fiona, if you want to bring friends you can as long as we can tolerate each other."
I laugh a little. "If I ask anyone to come it will be Pansy and I wonder if she can stomach you two and you can stomach her." I tell them.
"I think I can stomach her for one day." Hermione says. "And I don't know her so I don't see much problem." Ginny adds.
I nod. "I will talk with her. But I thought you said you don't have a date, Ginny."
Ginny shakes her head. "I said 'how can I expect any boy to ask me' which doesn't mean I haven't got a date."
I roll my eyes. "I called the wrong person complicated." I tell her.
She laughs. "We will decide when we will go after you ask Parkinson, Fiona." Hermione says.
I nod and leave to go and find Pansy. I find her alone in the common room, which is unusual. "Where are the boys?" I ask her.
She shrugs. "Only they themselves know." Pansy answers irritatedly. It is clear they have been gone for sometime now.
"Hey, Pansy. You might hate this but I have to ask." She gives me a confused look. "Hermione and Ginny want us to go dress shopping with them."
Pansy sits up straight. "Mudblood and muggle-lover want me to go dress shopping with them?" She asks.
I sigh. "They want me to go and said if I want to I can bring someone with me. And that someone happens to be you."
Pansy smiles a little. "I am flattered you thought about me, but are you sure they will be alright with me?"
I nod. "I confirmed it with them. All that is remaining is your answer."
