Rohail

Weightlessness.

It is a scientific phenomenon of zero gravity when an object or a person experiences freefall. It's falling I know but it feels like flying.

I'm at one of the highest skyscrapers in the city. Looking down I see nothing but stars below my feet and above my head.

Ayan wanted to hang out at his apartment because of the bruise on his cheek after a slap from his dad. His dad is obsessive, It is hard for him sometimes. So we sit here while he doesn't say a thing. Just admiring the view. The only thing he talks about is his future.

"I want revenge" He announced.

"On what? Your dad?" I ask.

"I will ruin that bastard with wealth. He thinks money is power. I will be the most rich motherfucker he has ever seen."

His eyes look bloodshot and the aggressive comments that he is saying don't make any sense. I want to give her a reality check that it is not possible but my friend does not need that.

"You definitely will I'm sure bro," I say passing him the ice pack.

"If not come live with me I'll treat you real nice" I joke making faces like a pervert.

He throws a pillow at me and I dodge it. "What is with you these days? Hanging out with freaks, talking to nerds, and distracted most of the time."

I feel weird when he mentioned her as a freak or nerd. I know she is isolated but she is magnetic.

"My grades are at the edge of passing and I'm just asking around for help. My father does not assault me but I have a reputation to keep"

He takes his hand and places it in front of his chest like he is physically hurt. "Right where it hurts, You are one opportunist ass."

There is a knock on the door and Ayan leaves to talk to the person knocking. I get up and walk up to his balcony.

When I say his dad is super rich. he is. I don't understand the whole do well and be successful aggressiveness from his dad when he can rest and eat for generations.

I'm at the edge of his balcony, which shows the view of the entire city and extended glass under my feet. I feel the adrenaline to see cars moving under my feet and when I raise my eyes it is a starry night.

Her eyes shine brighter than all these lights. I thought I just wanted to know her, but I was wrong she is not someone whom I want to get out of my system. She is programming herself like a virus. When Neil said to me that he is interested in her.

Initially, He was hesitant but said he is into girls with trauma trips. It's his fantasy to unravel them inside out. I almost lost it. So I said we have been seeing each other already.

Because if I said she is a mystery and she is pure, to leave her alone it would become the absolute goal of all the boys to go around her like pseudo predators.

I saved her by saying she is mine. Now They will stay away and she will be at her peace. It is just a few days and We will all go to college. If I don't see her this often then I'll lose my fascination towards her.

She will become an ordinary girl, Is it wrong to play a little before I go? I like to rile her up. When she gets angry I want to laugh at her face. She is a sweet death. "Akhira" I whispered to myself.

I took out my phone and checked her account. She does not have many except for cats, Landscapes, and old faceless pictures of her. A recent of them got my attention with her showing her back at the beach standing by the waves at dusk, Her hair flying making her look unreal, with the caption.
