hyeongjun was in the living room, sitting on the windowsill with one leg bent and another hanging from the side, swinging slightly. he was minding his own business, sorting some old papers that he found in the drawer in his and jungsu's shared room.
the weather outside was pretty nice, with sun shining bright and a slow breeze blowing in the room from the broken window and messing up the boy's fluffy hair.
hyeongjun didn't mind that one bit actually. it wasn't bothering him at all.
not wind, but there actually was something else really annoying and bothering the boy and he just tried his very best not to pay attention to it.
he wasn't alone in the room. this time, he was the one staying with jooyeon. everyone else was out for whatever reasons and since they couldn't leave the youngest among them alone ⸺ fearing that he might run away ⸺ they asked hyeongjun to stay with him.
the boy was definitely not fond of the idea, but was left with no other choice but to do so. he was staying all alone with the younger for the very first time and he didn't know what to expect at all. since well, he didn't know anything about him. he barely even talked to him.
hyeongjun was so sure, they both would be on their own. he would be doing what he wanted all by himself, and jooyeon would be in another room or okay, in the same room but doing his own thing. hyeongjun didn't even care what.
but that was not happening. as, the moment jooyeon saw that he could talk to the elder and get to know him, he tried to start a conversation. asking questions. like, a lot of them.
hyeongjun tried his very best to stay calm and not pay attention to the younger's annoying behavior. thinking that if he just stayed quiet and didn't give out a proper response, jooyeon would stop talking and leave him alone.
❝why do you not want to talk to me?❞ jooyeon rested his chin on his palm, staring at the elder boy sitting on the windowsill surrounded by old papers.
jooyeon was met with silence. of course. that had been going on for nearly half an hour now but jooyeon told himself not to give up. he had never talked to hyeongjun, and now that he had a chance to do so (not really, because hyeongjun didn't like the idea of them talking one bit) he wouldn't waste this amazing opportunity.
hyeongjun himself, on the other hand was losing it already. he was very quiet and loved to be just on his own, with no one talking to him and no one bothering him. sure he didn't mind his friends being there with him, but jooyeon was not his friend and unlike the younger, his friends knew how to act when they were around hyeongjun. if he wanted to talk about something, he would start or join the conversation with no problem. if he didn't talk or answer, it meant that he did not want to talk.
it was just this simple. his friends knew it and jooyeon didn't. and he wasn't even getting it, he kept asking and asking a little too many questions.
