hyeongjun had lost count how many days were they in the streets. maybe it was a week, maybe more maybe less. he didn't know.

after that night which they spent in the small woods, they spent two more days getting out of there. and they were out of that city. they walked in the fields, woods where no one lived, for three days in total. with no food. yet, none of them complained about anything.

they stayed quiet when it came to food, none of them even uttered a word about it, in hopes of getting something to eat soon.

then they walked in a small town ⸺ none of them knowing what it was actually since they never saw a name somewhere in the entrance. they didn't even know when they entered the town, they assumed they were in one when the fields were changed into small houses, streets and then they finally saw people walking in the streets.

we need to find a convenience store.❞ jungsu let out a tired sigh, taking a seat on one of the benches that were in the small park they entered.

seungmin took a seat beside him, closing his eyes for a second, agreeing immediately to what jungsu had said. ❝i'll go. who wants to come with me?❞ he then looked at the other four, who were standing in front of them, with jiseok leaning against gunil, nearly falling asleep while standing.

i'll tag along.❞ hyeongjun volunteered, bringing his hand up to cover his mouth as he yawned. he needed to somehow snap back to his senses as he hadn't slept for a day or so. and even though he was really tired, he wanted to go with seungmin. being sure that it would make him not fall asleep right then and there.

without saying anything further, the two left, telling the others not to go anywhere as they would be back soon and would come here.

seeing seungmin and hyeongjun leaving, jiseok was quick to move his positions and sat beside jungsu, wrapping both of his hands around the elder's arm and rested his head on jungsu's shoulder. ❝i swear i'm not falling asleep.❞ jiseok mumbled more to himself, but it was still loud enough for jungsu to hear. ❝please if anything wake me up before they come.❞

jungsu looked down at the younger who had his eyes closed and was seemingly sitting there really comfortably. he couldn't help but curve his lips up in a soft smile, placing a small kiss on top of jiseok's head.

now that we are here,❞ gunil broke the small silence between them, speaking up quietly not to wake the seemingly fast asleep jiseok up. ❝we need to find somewhere to stay.❞

crouching down, ❝right.❞ jooyeon let out a small sigh. he was also really tired and plus, he was definitely not used to this. at all. he had never gone anywhere this far on foot for so long, nor had he ever not eaten anything for more than a day. he was exhausted and just wanted to lie down in a comfortable bed and sleep.

he wanted to suggest something but knew too well that none of them would agree to it. so he decided to stay quiet, at least for now.

come sit here.❞ jungsu pat the spot right beside him and jooyeon was glad the elder had told him that, because his legs were starting to hurt but at the same time he didn't know if jungsu wanted for him to sit beside him and that's why he didn't sit there without a permission.

now that the permission was given, jooyeon gladly took a seat beside jungsu and he didn't even realize how his head fell on his elder brother's shoulder and his eyes closed.

i guess we will have to wait for them to wake up.❞ gunil let out a soft chuckle, looking at jungsu who looked like a mother taking care of his two babies at that certain moment.
