one of the rarest sights to see, were all of them together. of course, when it was not the night time and all of them were asleep.
when jooyeon entered the living room he was pretty surprised to be met with all five of them there. he was sure, seungmin and hyeongjun were out and didn't know they had come back this soon. or maybe he had spent a little too much time in his room, writing down some things.
jooyeon was dying to know, what was wrong with his brother and his brother's friends. what was the thing that made them different from others and made them live the life they lived. and he was writing down some notes, what he had seen and heard about each of them, when he got a chance to spend some time alone with them.
well, even after this a few months, it was still nothing. hopefully yet. yes, jooyeon was indeed a med student but it was his very first year in university so no one could blame him for not being a professional and guessing everything in a day or so. even most of the greatest doctors took time to set a final statement about some of their patients' illnesses.
and now, jooyeon stood there frozen as he didn't expect at all, to see all of them together in one room. he didn't know why he felt strange, a little bit nervous and scared even.
jungsu was sitting on the couch, reading a book like he most of the times did, while seungmin had his head rested on the elder boy's lap, eyes closed, simingly napping. the two seemed to be in their own bubble not wanting to be distributed by anyone.
and so were the other three. jiseok sat on the floor, in front of an armchair where hyeongjun sat with his legs crossed. gunil also, was sitting on the floor and the three of them were having a quiet conversation, which, jooyeon obviously couldn't hear.
the old tv they had in the living room (jooyeon assumed it was most definitely stolen since the building itself was not even finished therefore no one had ever lived there) was turned on and something like a show was playing, to which no one was paying attention to and jooyeon didn't know why was it turned on in the first place.
he stood there not knowing what to do. he probably had to walk in, take a seat somewhere and do something. start a conversation with any of them, watch tv or something else. yet, he felt awkward. looking at them, made him feel extra. he knew even before, that he didn't belong here. but now witnessing this very scene, made him sure that he in fact, should not be there. not only because he wasn't like them. but because they already seemed like a family. a full, completed one and they didn't need anyone else joining them.
jooyeon felt like if he walked in, he would disturb a moment, which in fact was nothing. it was just a casual evening to them, jungsu was reading a book, seungmin was napping and jiseok, gunil and hyeongjun were having a conversation. it was not something special.
but jooyeon saw this for the very first time. them all together like this. he wanted to go back to his and seungmin's shared room, continue writing whatever he was but his feet seemingly were glued to the floor. it was as if he couldn't move. looking at the five boys almost in awe.
and he seriously questioned, how they, these five boys, could do such things. at that certain moment they all looked so peaceful, adorable even. minding their own business and just being on their own. just a normal thing a normal human being would do. no one could even consider them harming anyone.
yet, knowing who they actually were, jooyeon was even more scared now. seeing that all of them were able to put on that mask, of being innocent adorable young boys who were on their own. maybe, when they were together at home, they genuinely were like this. but that didn't change the fact that outside of this abandoned building, they were horrible people who did so many bad things.
