you are back.❞

the moment hyeongjun opened the door of the living room, he was met with an exclaim which belonged to no other than jungsu and then he was enveloped in a warm hug.

too stunned to even move, hyeongjun stood there for a few seconds before snapping to his senses and bringing his hands up to wrap them around the elder and hug him back.

pulling away with his hands still rested on hyeongjun's waist, ❝what took you so long?❞ jungsu asked with worry tinted in his voice.

and where are the others?❞ gunil added after seeing that hyeongjun was the only one walking inside the living room and jiseok and jooyeon were nowhere to be seen.

hyeongjun let jungsu hug him for another few seconds or so, and then when the elder finally moved away, he walked to the old couch they had, pushing seungmin aside (hyeongjun himself failed miserably and after having a good laugh at how adorable he was, seungmin moved away himself) took a seat there, watching how jungsu sat down in an armchair and after letting out a small rather tired sigh, ❝let me just explain briefly what happened.❞ hyeongjun leaned back, running fingers through his soft locks.

and he retold everything. how they waited for the man to leave the house before entering it, how everything was going okay but then they heard someone opening the door and the man walked in. how he first tried pleading but seeing there was no way of him winning against them he ran away, how they followed him and ended up trapping him on the rooftop, how jooyeon didn't kill him, because he got scared and how jiseok ended up doing that, how he left the rooftop while jiseok was helping jooyeon up, who was pushed aside before shooting by jiseok himself and how he walked home.

you killed him?❞ jungsu asked biting his bottom lip as hyeongjun finished retelling. ❝what about the dead body?❞

sitting back up properly, ❝i'm sure jiseok will take care of it. he wouldn't leave it like that. and about the murder, we had no other choice. you know, he was a rich man. and most definitely powerful. he for sure would get the police involved in this and we would end up in jail, which we obviously don't want.❞ hyeongjun explained but even without that, it was clear that they had no other choice but to murder the man.

hyeongjun himself was very well aware of the fact that killing someone was really risky for them to do. since the police was getting more and more controlling and cautious about every single small case, they couldn't allow themselves to act quickly without thinking much.

and honestly hyeongjun was proud to say that they hadn't murdered anyone in awhile now. this was their first kill after a month or so, which shouldn't have been that suspicious for the police for them to think that it was the same for them unknown person or people.

sure, a murder was a murder and someone related to that man would notice sooner or later that he was missing, report it to the police and they would start investigating the case, but they for sure wouldn't be able to find any evidence of him being killed, let alone who was the one committing the crime. hyeongjun trusted jiseok with that.

don't worry about it. i'm sure nothing is going to happen, you know we've been lucky ever since.❞ seungmin spoke up trying to assure jungsu.

and he was right with those words. they really were considered as very lucky ones honestly. they have been doing such things, committing crimes for years now. and they were never ever even suspected. by the police at least. sure, they had gotten in some really big troubles here and there but even in those, they ended up being safe, just changing the location of their home.
