everything in the street was silent. it usually was like this after midnight. everyone was either asleep or doing something silently, not to bother their neighbors. the only expectation was when there was an event to celebrate. but today, it was just an ordinary day so most definitely every single person who lived in that certain neighborhood was asleep. 

if you stood in the street and looked at the line of blocks of flats, there was not a single room with lights on. 

or maybe, if you looked closely enough, you could notice a dim light faintly shining in one of the rooms, which was located somewhere up, probably on eighth or ninth floor. in the dark, it was hard to tell which floor it was exactly. 

this was the only light that shone in the street beside the lamp posts and the moon. 

a person who didn't live there, wouldn't even suspect a thing. just another normal night, someone having a lamp turned on in their room, reading a book or watching something probably. nothing serious, right? 

but in fact, it was not anything close to normal. because the dim light was turned on by a person who did not even live in that certain house. 

that small light was enough for him to see everything around and move cautiously from one room to another⸺ or maybe not really as cautiously as he planned to do. 

❝fuck.❞ 

the boy cursed under his breath, as he almost tripped over something. looking to the side, he noticed something that looked like a box of shoes. he just scoffed to himself, not minding it and only after checking everything around and making sure he didn't wake up the one who actually lived in the house, he continued walking to his last destination, which was kitchen. 

he already grabbed all the things he needed from the living room and even from the bedroom, putting all the items in a backpack he was carrying. now the kitchen was the only room left where from he needed to get some food. 

it was easy and simple, if the person living in that house didn't wake up, he would leave without any problems. he would just take some things he needed and leave. he was not going to harm anyone in any kind of way, if they didn't get into his way of course.
