Once they pulled into the now-under-construction Avengers' Facility, Happy was already there waiting for them. He was leaning on a new silver Mustang. His arms were folded in an almost scolding way.
Peter stepped out of the back seat of the car with Morgan wrapped in his arms. After about 10 minutes into the car ride, she had a panic attack and wouldn't calm down unless they let her sit in Peter's lap.
Happy ran over to them and lifted Morgan from Peter's arms, then spotted the side of the boy's arm, which had a giant red gash on it.
"Peter, what happened?" Happy asked, worried but stern.
"It's nothing." Peter lied.
"Come with me."
The boy could tell by the tone of his voice that he was going to be here for quite awhile. Peter turned to his best friend and Aunt.
"You can go home." he said.
May raised an eyebrow.
"No, Peter." She said, "We're staying here."
Peter grabbed her hand and led her back to the car.
"No, you're going home." said the boy, "I'm going to be here awhile, Happy will bring me home but I'm going to need to let them know about 'Vulture 2.0' and I'm not leaving Morgan until she's okay."
"She has Pepper. She'll be fine-"
"May, please..."
"Okay."
May got into the car and looked at Ned.
"You coming?" she asked.
"No way!" said Ned excitedly, "This is the Avengers building!"
"Ned-" Peter started.
"Oh, come on, Peter! This is my life's dream!"
Peter rolled his eyes in annoyance. Ned's too stubborn to quit, especially now.
"Ned is going to stay here." said May, "Love you."
"Love you, too." Peter replied, giving up.
May then drove off. Peter then heard a scream and spun around to find Morgan, awake, angry, and in panic.
"Morgan, your Mom's right inside the building, let's go see her, okay?" Happy attempted to soothe.
"NO!" Morgan shrieked in reply.
She had a loud scream for someone so small.
"I want Peter!" Morgan shrieked.
Her shrieks soon began to to turn into sobs as she went limp in Happy's arms.
Peter ran over and grabbed her hand.
"Hey, hey, it's okay Morgan." Peter soothed, "You want me to walk with you?"
Morgan wiped her eyes and nodded.
As they walked, she rested her head on his shoulder and her sobs deteriorated into whimpers. As soon as they entered the building, Peter could see through the glass door; A distressed figure, slumped over in a chair. Her hands were buried in her hair.
Happy opened the door and her head jolted up to meet Peter's eyes. The first signs he saw were anger, hatred for him. It was only a flash. Only a millisecond of hostility, but it was there. She walked over and hugged him.
"Thank God you're okay." said Pepper, wrapping her arms around him.
"Yeah, she'll be okay after a bit of rest and-" Peter started.
