"You and Vivienne seem to be getting closer."
Olivia said this to me after school that next Tuesday when we got coffee. I had told her I was going to be having a girls night with Vivienne.
"I like spending time with her." I said to Olivia.
"Just don't go making another best friend, alright?" Olivia said jokingly.
"I...don't really just want to be her friend." I admitted out loud.
"She's not straight, right?" Olivia asked me.
"That's what she told me."
"Maybe you could explore that more." Olivia said to me.
"The thought of that terrifies me." I said, "She probably is just looking to make a friend around here before college."
"I feel like it could be more than that." Olivia said.
As Olivia said that- it was almost like she spoke Vivienne into existence- because she came walking through the doors, in her school uniform and jacket.
Olivia turned around and raised her eyebrows to me- and I couldn't help but to look at Vivienne.
Right when she saw me, she gave me a smile. And it actually looked genuine.
She walked up to the table Olivia and I were sitting at.
"Hey." I said, trying to sound as casual as possible, "Needing some after school caffeine?"
"Do I ever." Vivienne nodded, "I'm working on college applications when I get home, they're a drag."
"Agreed." Olivia said to Vivienne, "I know we have a class or two together, but I don't think we've formally met. I'm Olivia."
"Vivienne. It's a pleasure." Vivienne said back to Olivia, and then I saw her glance at me.
I was going to invite Vivienne to sit with us- but I figured that she most likely wouldn't want to. And I didn't want to put her in an awkward situation.
"Well, girls- I'll see you around." Vivienne said, "My mother will start calling me if I'm not home in twenty minutes to work on these apps."
"Good luck." Olivia said.
"I'm sure it'll be a blast." I said, sarcastically.
On Vivienne's way out, she gave us another wave.
"She couldn't keep her eyes off you." Olivia said to me after Vivienne left.
"Oh, you're just saying that to make me feel good"
"I promise you, I'm not." Olivia said.
And that's all I could think about for the rest of the night.
Vivienne and I decided to hangout on Friday night. And for some reason, I was extra nervous to go to her house.
Could something...happen?
No. No way.
I decided to go to my dads on Friday first before going to Vivienne's.
Him and Nicole don't really question who I go hangout with. My mom does more, as she keeps track of my friends more.
I didn't want to raise any kind of suspicions
My dad and Nicole were out to dinner anyway, and Michelle was watching Bella. Grayson was out with his friends, as he usually is on Friday night.
Vivienne texted me her address, and also said, "What do you want me to order for us to eat? Sushi? Pizza? Just dessert?"
"Surprise me." I said back to her.
