The College of New Jersey was only about 45 minutes away- and Vivienne drove us. She picked me up from my moms house- I decided to have her pick me up from there, I made the excuse that I had to pack some clothes at her house.

My mom and Kenneth were out for the day, so Vivienne did not have to talk to anyone when she came to pick me up.

I put my overnight bag in her backseat, and then sat next to her.

She flashed me a smile, "Are you ready to take on college together? Even if just for a night."

"More than ready." I said, giving her a smile back.

"So, my cousin, Julia, actually goes to The College of New Jersey. I didn't know this, my mom told me. She's two years older than us. I'm going to text her and see if there are any parties we can go to...if you want."

"A college party? I think that sounds like a lot of fun." I said.

"I'm not too into parties. Too many people. But it may be fun to try to go to one." Vivienne said.

As Vivienne drove, we each alternated playing a song.

"You know, I'm really starting to like Tove Lo." I said to her.

"And I'm starting to like J Cole." she said to me.

The hotel we were staying at was minutes away from the college. We decided to check in first before heading to campus, our campus tour started at 2 PM.

Vivienne's mother got a suite style room- there were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living space.

"Feel free to come to my bed whenever you want." Vivienne said to me, with a wink.

Vivienne texted her cousin right before we left for campus, and got a response when we parked.

"Julia is part of a sorority. She said she will definitely tell us about the parties we can go to tonight." Vivienne said.

The campus tour was a little over an hour long. I could tell that Vivienne was starting to lose interest after a while, I found the campus to be quite charming.

"Princeton is not far from here." Vivienne said to me after the tour was over, "Do you want to get coffee or food there, and then go back to the hotel?"

"Food would be great. I've barely eaten all day." I said.

"Then let's get you something to eat, Char." Vivienne said.

Char.

That's the first time she's called me that.

Vivienne drove into Princeton- and even on a cold day in March, tons of students from Princeton University were walking around.

"Besides the fact that I wouldn't get in- much to my mothers chagrin- no way in hell would I ever want to go to Princeton University." Vivienne said as we got out of the car.

Main Street in Princeton had a lot of luxury clothing and makeup stores- as well as tons of restaurants. We settled on a small, hole in the wall place that had ramen and bubble tea.

"I know bubble tea is all the rage." Vivienne said, "I've never tried it."

"Really? I'd recommend Thai Tea or Taro."

"I've heard good things about Taro. I'll try that." Vivienne said, "My mother always feels the need to tell me that bubble tea is just a sugar bomb. Not that I am trying to tell you that! Please, if I ever mention something my mother says, know that is her view- not mine."

"I didn't think it was your view." I said, "I'm just sorry you have to go through her comments."

"It's okay." Vivienne said, "I just count down the days until I don't have to live with her."
