Guilt Over Love?

Chapter - 6

"Did you look at that? I-I just used my powers and that too perfectly without spilling a drop!" Flora said to Leo while her eyes were shining. Leo looked at her and was captured by her smile and amazement over such a small thing. "Are you listening or not? Leo?" asked Flora. "Yea-yeah I am listening, good for you", replied Leo. "Finally I did it. I am so happy, earlier I thought that maybe you are an ominous person that's why my powers do not work in front of you but maybe all it requires is some practise", replied Flora with a sense of accomplishment. "Wh-what did you just say? OMINOUS !?", reacts Leo. She denied it and tried to cover "Did I? You might have heard wrong. Anyway, I'm going to practice my skills and later on, you have to teach me more about my powers. Okay?" She leaves and he looks at her going and suddenly realizes that he is smiling. He drinks the juice, gets choked, and coughs. Mr.John handed over the napkin and said, "King, you don't need to hesitate over this smile. I can't even remember when you last smiled like this. I hope Highness being here will return our old King Leo to us..""I am already in front of you and I was not smiling, it's just that I laughed over her childish behaviour. That's all", he replied awkwardly and left. He knows the fact very well that wheather he laughed or smiled. Days pass by and Highness with her practice and dedication gets mastered the 3 main elements of nature i.e. fire, water, and air. She learned how the weather will change according to her mood, if she is sad or angry then it will be thunder and rain, if she is happy then a bright sunny day. There are more things about her powers that she will learn with time. But for a moment, After Flora's entry into Leo's un-tuned life makes it more and more harmonious. Every day they eat together, practice their powers and even bicker with each other making the lonely palace of the Bright planet more lively. They both are unaware that they become habitual of each other as Leo doesn't get offended by anything she says or does. He was the person who once was very self-centred and warned Flora to kill her when she talked rudely with him back on earth but now listens to her actively no matter what she says. Even Flora who was supposed to make him feel lonely, now accompany with him every single minute. Their life was going smoothly until one day when they were sitting in the main hall, Leo was doing some work and Flora was practicing her powers to fly things. Mr.John came and whispered something in Leo's ears. He angrily said, "Throw it away, and don't inform me about these ridiculous things again". "Can you be a little polite? I can't concentrate. And what happened to make you shout like this?", reacts Flora. "There is a rule in the royal family as the eldest brother is supposed to choose a bride so that other brothers can also find themselves a suitable partner. And I brought him information related to it", explained Mr. John. Although Flora already knows about the great brother, still she acts like she heard it for the first time and reacts "You have brothers? You didn't tell me earlier. I thought you were a lonely kid. It must be good to have brothers? Like you can play together and keep the secrets safe and even....". "Whether I am a lonely person or not, it is not your concern so don't try to act as if we are close", aggressively replied Leo and throws away the paper in his hand and left. She got stunned by his anger as it was not like the one he showed on earth, it was more serious and emotional. At that moment, Flora realized why it is difficult for Chief to bring the brothers back. Mr. John bowed his head and said "I apologize for the king's behaviour. He didn't mean it, it's just that anything related to his brothers is his sensitive point. He loves them but out of guilt...". "What guilt? Did something happen in the past?" asked Flora. "No-nothing highness, it's just I speak too much. I have some work so I may take leave", he replied and left hurriedly. She gets the point that it's some kind of guilt that holds the brothers to meet each other but can't ask Leo directly as he will only shout at her instead of talking. At night, during dinner, there was a pin-drop silence and the only voice made is of cutleries and chewing. Suddenly thunder strikes and Flora gets scared and glass slips from her hand which gets water from the glass falling on her clothes. She stands quickly and Lady Inn offers her some napkins to clean. Leo immediately asked her to go and change her clothes but she replied "It's okay, it's just water nothing to worry about, it will dry soon". "But ...", Leo was about to say something however she cuts in between by saying "I will take care of myself, no need to worry. It's not like we are close enough to worry about each other". She was done with dinner and left for her room. On the other side, Leo also gets up and leaves. The next day, the Highness got up and came down into the main hall and saw a woman looking elegant and beautiful enough to make Flora stunned with her looks. The woman came forward towards Flora and said "You must be the Highness of Andromeda galaxy. It's nice to meet you". "You know me?", questioned Flora. "Who else can roam freely in Bright Palace unless its Highness", replied the woman.She further introduced herself as the princess Mate of the Earl planet of Bright Galaxy and came here to meet King Leo. "I was thinking that you must be a princess or something as you are so beautiful and I was right", Flora responds to her with praise. King Leo enters with Mr. John holding some papers in his hands and looking at both the girls. As soon as Princess Mate saw him, she immediately greeted him in a royal manner "King Leo, it's my pleasure to meet you. I'm the princess of Earl Planet, Mate". King Leo glanced at Mr.John in anger and Mr.John whispered to him "Even though I'm your assistant but still I can't disobey Mother Queen's order. She wants you to just have lunch with the princess. I will handle the rest. You just need to handle her for half a day only but please with a smile". Leo asked him to do things fast, I can't endure strangers in my palace. He greets back her with an ingratiating smile "Hello, princess. Have a seat". Mr. John greets Flora and asks her what she wants to have for breakfast. Flora quickly signs him to come aside and reacts "Why are you asking me? Don't you have a guest? Go ask her and I can sense that it's some sort of arranged blind date. So I'm going upstairs to avoid any disturbance". Flora told the princess that she is going upstairs and signs best of luck to Leo. Later on, they all gather for breakfast and Flora offers her seat to Mate. Leo gets irritated and glares at Flora."You both seem to be pretty close with each other", the Princess questioned. Both of them answer it together but Leo said yes and Flora said no. They looked at each other and Flora said "We are not that close".Leo immediately reacts "Yes she is right. We are not that close". They both stared at each other and Flora uses her magic under the table and lets the glass of water fall on Leo. Princess quickly helps him to clean but Mr.John asks her to sit as the King doesn't like it if someone touches him. Flora heard that and she couldn't let the chance slip, so she quickly took a napkin and cleaned his clothes but this time Leo didn't seem to get irritated or angry. Flora gets confused, she even holds his hands and wipes them but still, he didn't say anything instead was smiling. "I think water fills your brain. Why are you smiling like a fool?" reacts Flora. Leo quickly stands and leaves saying that he will get changed as his clothes are all wet. He ran to his room and shut the door. His heart was beating very fast, he checked his nerves and said "Wh-what's that? Is it Tachycardia? Where does that stupid smile come from?". He was very embarrassed. After a while he came down and looked at the princess but felt nothing, he slowly turned to see Flora and she looked back at him making his heart all crazy. He thought it was just his assumption as no girl ever touched him, so to check he asked the princess for a walk and when she stood he offered his hand to her. She took his hand but Leo doesn't feel anything. He was shocked. Later on, he discuss all that happened with Mr.John and got a reply "King Leo, I think you find your suitable partner."
