Chapter 2: The Trouble With Troggles

Zipp went to get Electric Blue she saw them leaving a building being hoarded by fans "All right, how hard could this be? Hey! Electric Blue?" she said putting on her rad visor and walked up to the lead singer of Electric Blue "Hi I'm Zipp" she said "Huh?" said Fretlock "Zipp" she said "Uh, who?" he said "Uh... Princess Zipp?" she said taking off her visor and putting on sunglasses "Oh, hey, Princess! How's your sister?" asked Fretlock "She's great. Actually, that's why I wanted to talk to you. But it's top-secret. Can we... Can... Can... Can we get out of here?" asked Zipp "Yeah. I'm down with that. Hey, guys! Let's go!" said Fretlock Electric Blue ran off disguised themselves as statues to escape the crowd "Hey! Up here!" said Zipp above them "Pipp sent me to find you guys because she wants to invite you ...we want to invite you to play at Bridlewoodstock!" said Zipp "Uh, what's that?" said Fretlock "It's the very first music festival in Bridlewood, and it's gonna be so... Uhhh... so... rockin'! Yeah!" said Zipp "So, uh... What do you think?" asked Zipp Electric whispered to each other then turned back to Zipp  "We're not sure" said Fretlock "Maybe I didn't explain right! So, there's a thing called the Lumi-Bloom, right? And all the plants and flowers and crystals glow! And it looks awesome! Imagine those visuals with one of your sets! I mean, really cool and, uh ...you'll be the headliners!" said Zipp sweeting the deal "Well, why didn't you lead with that? Of course we'll play!" said Fretlock "Great! Phew!" said ZippNow it was Pipp and Izzy turn to try on get Ruby Jubilee "I can't believe we're about to meet Ruby Jubilee! This is our big chance to work with the newest, most talented chart-topper! Do I look okay?!" asked Pipp "Your sparkle is shining bright!" said Izzy they were then handed a letter with Ruby Jubilee's cutie mark on it  "t's got a cutie mark on it!" said Pipp she took the letter out a began to read it  "Your Majesty Princess Petals..." That's me! "...Miss Ruby Jubilee sends her deepest regrets. She cannot join you today due to a case of... creative block"?!" read Pipp she and Izzy gasped "Maybe we can help her!" said Izzy "My thoughts exactly!" said Pipp Izzy and Pipp walked into Ruby's dressing room "Princess Pipp?!" she said "Sorry to surprise you like this, but my friend Izzy and I got your note, and we had to help" said Pipp "We've had creative block, too. We get it" whispered Izzy to Ruby "Oh, Princess, it's just... ugh, awful!" said Ruby "What's going on? You can talk to us" said Pipp "After the success of my debut single, I've just been putting so much pressure on myself to top it with a new hit. Ugh! But how do you top a chart-topper?" asked Ruby "Ruby, you have no idea how much I understand what you're going through" said Pipp "Me, too! But luckily, we have some tricks up our hooves to help" said Izzy "You do?" asked Ruby "Yes! First, try not to be inspired when you watch this" said Pipp showing Ruby a video of the Lumi Bloom "My stars! That is the most magical sight I've ever seen! It makes me think of... Quick! I need to write this idea down before I forget!" said Ruby flowing over to her desk and began to write down her feels "You're already inspired!" said Izzy "And it's even better in real life! You have to see it! At the Bridlewoodstock festival onstage!" said Pipp "Will you perform for us?" asked Izzy "I-I don't know..." said Ruby "Wild rubies are in season in Bridlewood! You looooove rubies!" said Izzy "Mmm, I really do" said Ruby "And... you'll be the headliner!" said Pipp "Wow! Okay! Now I'm really inspired! I'll do it!" said Ruby Pipp giggled 

Sunny and Hitch now have to get Minty of the Dreamlands "You sure we'll find her here, Figgy?" asked Sunny has her Hitch and Figgy at a café "Oh, yes. This is where Minty comes to do her weekly shop. I run into her all the time" said Figgy "You're so cool, Granny!" said Hitch  "So are you, Hitchie" said Figgy "Look! Over there!" said Sunny pointing spotting Minty "That's her all right. Well, don't dawdle now. Scoot!" said Figgy they got up on ran over "Um, excuse me? Are you Minty?" asked Sunny "Yes. Why?" asked Minty "I'm Sunny, and this is Hitch, and we're big fans of yours, and we wanted to know if maybe you would consider getting the group back together to play at our music festival this weekend? A-A-After all, coincidentally, it's the anniversary of your very first hit single!" said Sunny "Yeah!" said Hitch and Sparky "Anniversaries should be celebrated, don't you think?! Heh. Sorry. Sometimes when I get nervous, I talk really fast" said Sunny "It's true. She does" said Hitch "So what do you think, Minty?" asked Sunny "I don't know. The Dreamlands broke up moons and moons ago. Even if I could convince Snuzzle and Blue Belle, we're so out of practice" said Minty "Oh, I know the perfect place you can practice! It's called Mane Melody, and it's got a stage and everything!" said Sunny "It's not just that" said Minty "Then what is it?" asked Hitch "Does anypony even care about our little girl group anymore?" sighed Minty "Of course they do! You're the originals! You're what started it all!" said Sunny Grandma Figgy then walked over "Figgy!" cried Minty "I hope my grandson and his friend aren't bothering you too much. But I told them I'd help convince you to give it a try. It'd be so wonderful to see you girls singing together again" said Figgy with a basket "Is there a key lime pie in the deal?" asked Minty "Already baked it!" said Figgy opening up the basket "Okay, then. I guess we'll do it. As long as we're not pushed aside at some little stage for old-timers while the flashy new acts play the main stage. We have to make a splash if we're making a comeback" said Minty "You know what? I have an even better idea. The Dreamlands will be the headliners!" said Sunny "Let's do it!" said Minty "Yes!" said Sunny "Whoo! Yeah!" said Hitch 

(Bridlewood) 

Everypony got back to Bridlewood and reported there success "Hey! I talked to Electric Blue! They're gonna do it!" said Zipp to Pipp "We convinced Minty to get The Dreamlands to play!" said Sunny "And we got Ruby Jubilee! Which you knew already!" said Izzy "And I have written the best song I have ever have" I said "Great work, everypony! I knew I could count on you! Now we just have to set up an entire festival! Easy peasy!" said Pipp we then decided to tell the residents of Bridlewood what we were doing  "Everypony get ready! The music is coming to town! The music festival, that is! It's called "Bridlewoodstock"! You're gonna love it!" said Pipp "L-L-Loud music?! During the L-L-Lumi-Bloom?!" said a Mare Unicorn "Of course! Isn't it the most beautiful thing you've ever witnessed? Now it will have a soundtrack!" said Pipp "This is a very bad idea!" said a Unicorn Stallion "Count me out!" yelled another "Um... is it just me, or do these unicorns seem kind of..." began Sunny "Not into the idea?" asked Zipp "Yeah" said Sunny "They are definitely freaked out about something" I said "Sooooo... are there any amazing local Bridlewood musicians who would love to perform at the show?" asked Pipp a Mare just screamed and ran away we then saw Onyx and Dapple "Ooh! Onyx! Dapple! You two would be perfect additions to the lineup. Heh. What do you say?" asked Pipp "No" said Onyx "Oh, well...  That's okay. Heh. You still have time to mull it over" said Pipp "Uh, we don't need time" said Dapple "You don't?" gasped Pipp "Because we unicorns know better. You should never sing during a Lumi-Bloom because of the...Troggles!" whispered Dapple Onyx then started to resit the poem "Eyes of the monster, form of the pig Sing, laugh, or yell, step hoof on a twig Troggles appear, steal what's to be No cure to be found, past the red ruby "Okay, I-I give up. What are these Troggle thingies?" asked Pipp "Legend says that the Troggles are mystical spirit monsters!" said Dapple "Th-Th-They only come out during the Bloom!" said a Unicorn "And they steal things from you if you make any noise!" said another "But they can only work their spirit magic at night. So beware of singing! Or you'll be cursed! Bing-bong! Bing-bong!" said Dapple the Unicorns then started doing the ritual dances "Bing-bong! Bing-bong! Bing-bong! Bing-bong!" they said "Oh. Is that all?" said Pipp the rest of us laughed nervously laugh nervously 

Come to the Bridlewoodstock music festival, and I, Princess Pipp, guarantee you the greatest sights your eyes have ever seen and sounds your ears will ever hear! Yes, that is correct. It's called the "Lumi-Bloom". And we'll have the hottest musical acts in the industry. The Dreamlands, Electric Blue, and Ruby Jubilee! That's Bridlewoodstock music festival, okay? In Bridlewood! Be there or, um... You know what? Just be there, everypony!" said Pipp in a livestream she looked at how construction on the stage was going Looking great, everypony! Take five!" she said we had landed  the Mare Stream here to carry all the equipment we need to bring  and we had ourselves a campsite of sorts "Hello" said Izzy with a stick with a marshmallow on it roast over a fire  "Home sweet Mare Stream! Thanks for setting it up! Isn't luxury glamping the best?" said Pipp "I love to glamp! It helps me forget about all my worries" said Pipp "Aw, what do you have to worry about?" asked Pipp "Uhhh... Want a toasted?" asked Izzy dodging the question  marshmallow "You're right. My worries have melted away" said Pipp taking a bite "Yes! Yeah! Me, too! Me, too..." said Izzy "Hey, Pipp!" said Sunny arriving we us intone out of breath "Oh, no. What's wrong now? Did one of the bands back out?!" asked Pipp "No, nothing like that. It's just... Are you absolutely sure we should be having the festival here?" asked Zipp "Uh, why wouldn't we? It's lit-er-al-ly gorgeous" said Pipp "Um, but you heard what Onyx said earlier about the legend, right?" asked Hitch "With the Troggles? Um... why? Have you seen anything... Troggle-y?" asked Izzy "Trust me, there's nothing to worry about. Besides, look at this place already. Everything is coming together like the harmonies on my last single!  Izzy! Is that what I think it is?" said Pipp pointing a t booth "If you think it's my flower crown booth, then yeeees! Want a sneaky peek?" asked Izzy "Yeah, I do! And I want all of you to stay here in our amazing Mare Stream and relax! Toast some marshmallows!" said Pipp walking off with Izzy "Should we do something to stop all this?" Zipp asked us "I don't know. Things do look fine, at least" said Hitch And we worked so hard to get the bands to agree to play. Which reminds me, I have to go. Minty invited me to watch The Dreamlands' dress rehearsal back home. And I'm pretty excited about it. See you ponies later!" said Sunny racing by to Mane Melody "I don't really want to ruin Pipp's festival, but are you still feeling uneasy about those strange unicorn warnings, too?" I said "Actually, yes" said Hitch "You know what I think this calls for?" said Zipp "An investigation?" guessed Hitch "Boom. You got it. Come on!" said Zipp
