After winning against Ida, which turned out harder than Aimi expected since he's so fast, it's her turn to go up against Todoroki.
And she's nervous. So nervous, that she had to go to the bathroom because she feels nauseous.
Todoroki's a very strong opponent. And the fight against Midoryia only proved that further.
Aimi has no idea how she could beat him. He's probably going to obstruct her vision for her to not be able to get a hold of him. Which is smart. Very smart. How could she avoid that? Flying above him probably wouldn't be very useful. He could just use his fire to blast at her, if he's going to use it.
She'd have to continually break down his ice which is exhausting. And she could try attacking him immediately, but he'll definitely throw his ice at her without even giving her a chance.
She's going to lose. Everybody knows it. Aimi doesn't stand a chance.
But she can't disappoint her father. Aimi at least has to try. Which is why she gets up from the cold floor and opens the door, stepping out and walking towards the stadium.
Aimi walks inside at the same time Todoroki does and she swallows the lump forming in her throat.
No, that can't happen now. She can't panic now, not when there's thousands of eyes on her. Aimi tries to control her breath and closes her eyes while walking up towards the platform, although she can't hide the trembling of her hands.
When she opens her eyes again, having shoved the panic deep down, Aimi faces Todoroki who looks at her with a confused yet stoic expression. She takes in a final, deep breath, ignoring the panic wanting to spread, and gets in her fighting stance. Todoroki does the same reluctantly, his brows furrowed together.
"Start", Present Mic shouts and the both of them start running.
Aimi runs towards him while he shoots ice at her, which she barely avoids. Her sprint doesn't slow as she lifts herself off the ground and over the block of ice spreading on the ground. Todoroki runs towards the side, still shooting at her while she comes down again and holds out her hands towards the ice. Aimi explodes it without a second thought and rushes forward.
Todoroki continues obstructing her vision, just like she thought, by forming ice which she continuously breaks down. Aimi searches for a way to go around it, towards him, although it seems effortless. He continues blasting without growing tired as it looks, while Aimi's fighting to stay conscious. Her fight against Ida took more of a toll on her than she thought.
Without seeing any other way to win against him, the girl breaks all of his ice at once and lets it rain down on him, just like Uraraka did with Bakugo earlier.
The last thing Aimi remembers, is the way Todoroki uses his flames to stop them from hitting him while she falls to the ground.

When Aimi opens her eyes again, she's blinded by the bright light of Recovery Girl's office. She winces as she tries to sit up, a massive headache overwhelming her. She groans and raises a hand to shield her eyes as they look around.
"Oh, you're awake."
Aizawa states as he enters the room with some effort, since he can't grab a good hold of the door. He walks over and sits next to her on a chair. Aimi avoids looking at him, scared of what his eyes will tell her.
"You did good, princess", he assures her, his eyes shining with pride. Aimi turns to him, an uncertain look on her face as she furrows her brows.
"But, I lost", the girl says quietly, a disappointed look on her face as she wraps her arms around her waist.
"That's not important. You held your own and tried to find a way. And you walked into that stadium, even when you were on the verge of panicking, instead of hiding away. You did good", her father reassures her as he lays a bandaged hand on her thigh.
Aimi takes in a deep breath at his words and, although her lip quivers, smiles at him with happy tears in her eyes. "Okay", she replies faintly.
"You scared me a little when you passed out, though. You overdid it again, didn't you?" He throws a soft glare at her and she blushes, embarrassed. She mumbles a quiet 'maybe'.
"Although, it seemed like I wasn't the only one you scared", Aizawa tells her with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes and Aimi groans.
"What? He seemed very concerned when he realized that you're not quite awake anymore", Aizawa chuckles when Aimi boxes him in the arm softly.
"Stop it, dad. That's not true. How long was I unconscious anyway", Aimi asks him to avoid him teasing her any longer. She already has to endure Mina's teasing which is even worse.
"Well, the festival's over. So, pretty long." At that, Aimi sits up abruptly, ignoring the pain flowing over her.
"What? Who won", she asks Aizawa, curiosity reflected in her eyes.
"Bakugo", he replies with a sigh as he gets up. Aimi does the same, although slower as the headache's still present. The both of them walk out and towards Aizawas car as people are starting to go home. They drive in comfortable silence, the radio playing in the background.
It doesn't surprise Aimi that Bakugo won. Not at all. After all, he promised that he'd come out on top. And he doesn't seem like a guy to go back on his promises.
