Chapter 12

What? That's their objective? To kill All Might?

"I believe he was supposed to be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must've been some sort of change in plans we could not have foreseen. Ah, well, in the end, I suppose it doesn't matter. I still have role to play", he ends. And with that, Kirishima and Bakugo run at him.

"No! Stay back", Aimi yells at them, reaching for their arms. She was too slow.

"You live up to your school's reputation. But you should be more careful, children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt."

Aimi hears Thirteen shout at them to step back, but she can't do anything against the darkness enveloping her. From one moment to another, she feels herself falling and stops herself in mid-air. That's when she notices Bakugo and Kirishima falling right past her. Holding out her hands towards both of the boys, Aimi stops their free-fall and she knows she's gonna get yelled at.

Aimi lowers all three of them on top of a collapsed building and releases her hold on them. And just like she expected, Bakugo stomps towards her, his face pulled into a grimace.

"I didn't need your help, shithead. I could've handled that on my own", he snaps at her.

Not wanting to deal with his hurt ego, Aimi takes a step in his direction and cocks her head slightly. "I know that. You're strong and all, but even though he has Hardening, Kirishima still could've gotten hurt. So I thought, why not kill two birds with one stone?"

Bakugo mumbles something, probably curses, at me, but he doesn't press it any further and simply turns around.

"You extras coming or not? 'Cause I'm sure as hell not gonna wait for you", he shouts while walking off.

Kirishima and Aimi scramble after him, not wanting to be left alone. Although both of them are good fighters, it's reassuring to have Bakugo's explosive personality around. Maybe that alone might ward off villains.

On their way back to the ground, they face numerous villains who are taken out by them in an instant. You might think, that if they're going to infiltrate UA, the villains would be strong.

"Think that's the last of these guys. Bunch of weaklings", Bakugo states and Aimi agrees with him.

"Let's hurry and find the others. They still should be in the USJ if we are", Kirishima proposes.

"That's right. And not everyone has as offensive skills as we do", Aimi adds to which both of them nod.

"I agree. Especially since Bakugo and I screwed things up when we got in the way earlier", the redhead admits solemnly.

Aimi crosses her arms when looking at the both of them. "You're right, you did screw up. If you had listened, we wouldn't be in this shit", the blonde glares at them before sighing. "And yet you only wanted to help in your own hot-headed way. We can't change it now, so there's no use in beating yourself up for it."

Kirishima looks close to crying at the girl's manly words and attempts to hug her, yet fails when she moves to the side.

Bakugo scoffs at the other boy and rolls his red eyes. "You wanna track those extras down, fine. You do that. But I'm gonna take down that warp bastard."

"What? But our attacks didn't even hurt the guy! Don't be an idiot man", Kirishima tries to argue with the stubborn boy. He should know that it doesn't make sense to try to talk sense into him.

"So what, Shitty Hair? He's their escape route. if we beat him, they won't be able to leave. The rest we can figure out then."

Aimi sighs at the angry hot-head's way of thinking, but she somehow sees herself agreeing with him. He does have a point somewhere. Although beating the warp guy up doesn't seem like that good of a plan.

Right when Kirishima's about to say something, Bakugo causes another tiny explosion and a villains drops down next to them. Aimi won't say it out loud, but she's pretty impressed. Although her astonished face probably gives it away.

"Anyway, if the villains the other dipshits are facing are small-fries like these, I think they're gonna be okay. Except Dunce Face maybe." Aimi does agree with what he's saying, because honestly, if the others were struggling that much with these thugs, she'd be concerned. Although she pulls a face at the insult towards Kaminari.

She's about to speak up about it before Kirishima interrupts her, saying, "That reaction time was insane! Very manly. Also, since when were you so calm and rational?"

"I'm always calm and rational you loser", Bakugo shouts at the redhead and Aimi can't help but laugh.

"Anyways, I'm gonna go find that bastard. You can go look for the other extras if you want to, I don't care." He's starting to walk out of the door towards the stairs and the other two follow him.

"Wait. I think what you're saying, is that you believe in our classmates and that's, like, really manly Bakubro", Kirishima says and Bakugo almost explodes.

The three of them make their way out of the collapse zone and hurry to the front of the building, trying to go unseen by villains.They duck behind a few bushes, observing the scene before continuing. When they see the students lying on the ground and no mist guy to be seen, they look towards the direction Aizawa went in to fight.

Catching the display in front of them, the three of them stare in shock. A giant black thing stands on top of her father. Helpless. And definitely hurt.

"Dad", she mutters under her breath, not caring if the two boys by her side hear her. "No. No, no, no that can't be happening", Aimi says, her voice getting louder by the second. She stands up and with that the two boys do the same. The girl takes a step forward to run over to her father, to help him, because she knows she could if she tried hard enough.

Yet a hand on her arm holds her back. Aimi looks over her shoulder and sees Kirishima's concerned look. "We can't go. At least not yet. We have to wait for help."

The girl only shakes her head, tears welling in her eyes. "No. No, you don't understand. I have to go. I have to help him", she pleads. Kirishima furrows his eyebrows while observing the girl. Sure, he's concerned for his teacher too. of course, he wants to help him, but why does the girl next to him look so desperate to do the same?

"Aimi, what's going on? You're usually so rational and-"

The three of them turn their heads when there's a loud crash. They look towards the door and there are the heroes and Ida.

"I am here!"
