4| Surprise

' 'My palace' he says. then that could only mean that this palace that's more humble than ruby palace...is the one the Emperor uses?' she shiver at the realization, '9-year-old Athansia entered the Emperor's palace because it was this close!' she panic but then flinch when she saw Claude, looking behind her. Saw the bite she did on the statue's buttcheeks. 

"...."

"...."

"Maybe she thought it was a toy." Felix guessed as he look at the bite, Athanaisa was pretty sure was dying inside. 'Are you going to kill me!? Am I dead for trespassing!? AM I GONNA DIE BECAUSE I LEFT A BITE MARK ON YOUR ANGEL STATUE!?!?' 

"She must have wandered off during her play time, Felix." Claude carelessly toss her body to Felix who was surprised but nonetheless carry her. "Carry her." he and Athy look at each other in the eye, at what was going on. 

You were daydreaming that you didn't notice that Claude carelessly pick you up, 'I should have some tea with my guest.'

You blink twice when you go back to reality, Claude was walking away from Felix and Athy, who still couldn't believe what just happened, you glance back and your eyes meet.

'A bunny?'

'What's going on here?' Athy was now sitting in front of the Emperor and the only things that separate between them is the dessert and tea on the table. Athy was quick to glance somewhere, avoiding his gaze. But the thought of the bunny beside the Emperor was killing her, who's the damn bunny!? 

'I didn't know a bunny is supposed to be in the story or could it be...that it's like me- no wait that would be stupid!-'

"I didn't know you couldn't speak. Well...this is boring." when the Emperor spoke first to break the silence he was received by a hiccup. 'Does that mean,= I'll kill you because you're not entertaining?' '

"Not much of a talker?" 

"Athy can talk," she said in the third person as she gave the Emperor a cheerful smile. "Finally, I get to hear your voice. Why did you stay silent until now?" 

'You should know this already, but your heck of a creepy father that is.' rolling your eyes. 

"Pardon me! Your majesty, but little girls around the princess age are known to be very shy." Felix interfered, "Hmm...is that so?" 

'Y-yeah you jerk! kids can be a bit shy! Even a grown-up would fall silent in front of you...!' Claude glanced again at Athy only to see her smiling, but inside she was mentally crying. 

The Emperor had the image of a dragon and the princess was a scared bunny. You look between them, 'Should I also leave? the tension is killing meee' 

"Felix." Claude called, "Yes, your Majesty?"

"Leave us."

"......" then Felix bow down and look at the bunny who was making a grabby motion he was about to get the bunny but Claude stop him. "She'll stay." 

'NOOOOOO! I want to make time for Felix before it last!' your head was grabbed by none other than the Emperor himself and moved you to the other side of the couch like his hand was a claw machine and you were a stuffed toy. Felix sweatdropped and leave not without glancing at the princess. 

'How dare you grab me from the head!' you punch his hand but that didn't hurt him of course, but Athy was terrified. 'What is this bunny doing!? It is wishing for a death wish!?' 

"Athy, is it? Must be a pet name. Athanasia. What a name. To dare give her own child such a name, and a girl at that. She would have had her limbs ripped off if she had survived the labor."
