2. Spider-Minki

Hanni pov:

My eyes sparkled and knowing smirk appeared on my face.

"If it's criminals, then Kim Minji must react to this. I need to go to the university!" I thought and then grabbed my stuff, paid for the coffee and rushed to the university.

I already saw the scientist today, she's at work now, so if she disappears somehow, then I am actually not as crazy as everyone thinks.

"I need to know what she's hiding, it'll be a big sensation! Kim Minji, a very young genius and her biggest secret!" I was looking at the floor while walking and I was too lost in my thoughts to hear some strange voices calling for me.

I noticed them only when someone's big hands grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me closer.

Oh shit.

"Hey are you deaf?! This is not good to ignore us, doll" It was a big man, he was muscular and looked very intimidating.

I swallowed my saliva. It was bad.

There were also few men behind him, it seemed like it's the group of criminals who escaped and now I was about to die.

Maybe sometimes I really have to hold back and not give in to my journalist duty.

The man raised his hand and I closed my eyes, mentally praying for my life.

I hope they at least write something about my death in the internet.

I already prepared for my death, but then I felt a pair of slim arms around my body and a chuckle. I felt wind going through my hair and when I opened my eyes I found myself in her arms.

Oh, it was Minki! I smiled and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you, I don't know what would've happen to me if you wouldn't come..." I pulled back and looked at her in amusement.

Spider-Minki, Minki, our spider neighbor and a friend to our city. She's a superhero who keeps our city safe and sound. She works better than our police departments and I even wrote few articles about her. She was friendly, but we barely knew something about her. How did she even got her powers? Who is she? Why is she helping us?

Minki was a friend, a very mysterious one and she was the second person who I was looking for. After I'll solve Kim Minji I'll come back for her.

Minki smiled at me, I could feel she was smiling through her mask, then she put me down on some rooftop and turned to face the criminals again.

"Come on, bro, are you really this wear so the only person who you can beat up is a tiny girl?" She chuckled, her voice was deep. No wonder why people like her.

Wait. What am I even thinking about.

Did she just called me a tiny girl?!

"I'm a grown up. Don't call me that" I looked annoyed. I hated when people say that I look like a child.

She turned to me and sat on the corner of the roof. "Aww, sorry sweetie, you just look young, my apologies" She bowed at me like a gentleman and then jumped off the roof, chasing those criminals.

I closed my eyes for a second. Why is her voice sounds familiar..

When I finally got to university, I, as expected, didn't find Minji there. Ugh, this woman will be the death of mine.

I rubbed my eyes and went home, thinking about what just happened today.

It was already late evening, the moon is out and the night wind was clearing the mind. It was calming.

I don't really remember when was the last time I didn't felt hyped or irritated. But right now I felt calm and it was very pleasing to feel.

I got home pretty fast, turned on my lamp and sat on my bad with my greatest treasure on my lap, my laptop.

I was scrolling through media, finding tonnes of articles about those criminals and Minki, it was until I heard a knock on my window.

I shuddered and grabbed a huge book from my shelf, slowly walking to the window. I breath out and opened it in one swift motion, raising the book, only to be grabbed by my wrists. When I opened my eyes I again saw her, it was Minki.

"Calm down sweetheart, I'm not here to hurt you" She said, trying not to laugh.

Her voice was calming and I blushed when she called me that nickname. Was she always like this?

"Minki... What do you need? How did you know where I live?" I was confused and a bit annoyed. I thought my adventures for this day came to the end but it seems like I was wrong.

"Well, those bad guys lead me here, so, answering your second question, you're in danger and I need you to come with me" She wasn't so happy now, she sounded serious and professional, it wasn't usual to see her like this.

"In danger? What are you talking about? I don't understand.." I was even more confused, but now also scared. What did she meant by saying that I'm in danger?

"Ugh, can I tell you when we get out of here? Grab all the stuff you need, and be quick" She crawled into my flat and hurried me "Come on let's go" She clapped her hands.

I still have many questions, but for now I decided to listen to her. I grabbed all my stuff and got closer to her. She pulled me closer and smiled.

"Hold on tight" She held me close and jumped out of the window, flying on her web somewhere.

I was amused by the beauty of the night city, looking at everything like excited child.

"Cute." She mumbled and speed up.

I blushed at her comment, but decided not to answer on it and just snuggled closer to her. I didn't even noticed when I started to doze off.

When I opened my eyes I was lying on the couch, covered with blanket. I yawned and looked around. It was a pretty big room with a TV, couch and some other small things.

"Oh, you're already awake" I heard a very soothing and deep voice.

I thought it was Minki, but when I looked at the person, my jaw dropped.

"Minki said you need a place to hide. This girl is hopeless" She placed a cup of coffee on the small coffee table and smiled at me.

"K-Kim Minji?.."
