7. The right choice

Minji pov:

"Hey big bro..." I forced a smile and walked in.

There wasn't anything strange about his appearance, but the fact that Haerin said that he's the one who caused all this... It made me nervous.

Why would my brother want to destroy humanity?... Isn't this too harsh?

I never would thought that Dong Min has this much hatred towards people.

No. I can't blame him right away... Maybe someone forced him to do that.

He's my brother, not some criminal.

"So, what brought you here, sis?" He placed a cup of tea on the table in front of me and gave me a gentle smile.

"I..." I didn't even knew what to say. I was so shocked and scared when Haerin told me all of this so I couldn't even think properly. "Wanted to discuss something with you.... It's about my new project" I came up with a lie.

He seemed intrigued. "Oh yeah? Well, I'll be down to help, what's the project about"

I gulped. "We wanted to... You know, we're now working with meds and we... Wanted to make some medication that will help with... Heart diseases..." I sighed, trying to compose myself. "But we end up with some very dangerous drug. It causes many problems and can even kill a person in a certain dose... We don't know what to do with that thing now" I swallowed. "What would you do with this?" I could swear I saw a smirk on his face.

"Well, you can just keep it, I think one day you can mutate this thing into something less harmful to people. Or maybe give it to government, they can use it in military" He said calmly.

"This thing is basically a very dangerous poison, we can't use it on people..." I said in a shaky voice.

"Dangerous poison? Like what's the symptoms?" He grinned. "Organs rotting and bloody cough?"

Shit..

He knows?

"I um..." I gulped.

"You're a terrible liar, Minji, or should I say Minki?" He smirked. "But it won't be fun to fight you there. Meet me when you'll be ready to fight" He chuckled and stood up.

I took my bag and rushed out of the flat. I could've fight him now. And stop all of this, but... He's my brother, how can I hurt him?...

I went to the roof and changed into my suit, flying away.

Why things have to be so complicated?

I felt like dying right now. Now it wasn't just about my life, but my brother's. It's way harder than I thought it would be.

I don't want to fight him, he's my family.

My eyes were blurry because of the tears and I made the dumbest decision in my whole life.

"I want to see Hanni" I rushed to Haerin's apartment and barged into the window. It was already late night, all of them probably already saw 6th dream, but I still wanted to see her.

I walked into the guest bedroom, she was sitting in the bed, typing something on the laptop that Haerin probably gave her. When she noticed me, she put the laptop away.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" I said softly, trying to hide the fact that I'm crying right now.

"I've experienced too much in few days to sleep" She chuckled, but then blushed. "Um... Minki, i-" I didn't let her finish and hugged her tightly, burying my nose in her neck.
