6. New enemy

Minji's pov:

"Minki... I need you. Now" Haerin looked scared, it wasn't so usual for her.

I immediately stood up, as if I forgot about the kiss with Hanni and followed her to the office.

I was still blushing, but Haerin's worried face made me nervous.

"What happened?" We barged into the office and she closed the door.

I take off my mask and stare at her laptop, she breath out. "They look for bioweapon" She said in a trembling voice.

My eyes widened and jaw dropped, I was at loss of words. "What? How did you know?"

She sighed and showed me her laptop. The opened file, it was about some "painkiller". The description to it said that it's a very dangerous biological weapon that can kill people in something like few days. It causes bloody cough, body weakness, organs rotting and other symptoms. People will die in the agony, almost rotting from the inside.

People who made this are sick...

"What the actual fuck...? Who made this thing?.." I gulped, I couldn't even imagine who and how did that, it was the most dangerous thing I even seen in my life.

"It'll be the end for the humanity if they'll get this flash. There's a map, a plan where and when they'll have to use the "painkiller"." Haerin was trembling. She often was very cold, but she still was only 20, she was scared. So was I.

"Do they know where this bioweapon is?" I tried to compose myself. I have to be strong.

"They probably already have it. They just don't know how to use it... This flash is their instructions to how to destroy everyone" She rubbed her eyes. "You need to take the weapon from them. I'll hide the flash"

I just nodded. I take on my mask and breath out. When I wanted to leave and already opened the window, I felt a pair of hands hugging me from behind. I smiled.

"Please, be careful..." She sobbed.

"Haerin, I promise" I smiled and hugged her back. "When I'll deal with it, you'll introduce me to your girlfriend and we again will have these game nights, everything is gonna be fine" I patted her.

It wasn't surprising. Before that Danielle girl showed up in Haerin's life, she was all alone. Only I was here, she was very clingy since the day we became friends. Even if she tries to act tough, I know she's very caring, I'm like a big sister to her... Though, I happy that she found someone to be with. There's no doubt I can die on one of those missions, at least she won't be alone.

I just have to make her trust my words.

Even if I don't trust myself.

"I'll come back soon" I wiped her tears and smiled, before rushing to the window and jumping out.

While I was flying I thought about that question Haerin asked me once.

"Aren't you scared of death?" She asked.

I didn't answered her that day. But it was clear, that I am scared. Even now I'm scared, but who asked for my opinion.

I chuckled.

"I happened to have powers and it's my duty to protect people"

I always said to myself. What's more important, my own life, or the whole city? Or maybe even country, or maybe even the whole world.

I always choose the second option.

There's no point in living if I can't save others. So I should sacrifice everything to make sure my loved ones are happy.

"Well, I'm still not ready to die" I laughed nervously to myself.

Soon Haerin sent me some information about who're in this band of crazy people. I recognized some of the faces. Most of them already were in jail once or twice.

She texted that she'll try to get information about their location and while she doing so, I went to my flat.

When I got in, most of the things were broken. My apartment was a mess. They already were here.

"I can't let them get closer to Hanni or Haerin" I thought.

I head to my hidden storage room and took out some details to upgrade my suit a little. When I got into my office, my spider sense activated.

I jumped high and then used my web-shooters to trap the guys that were trying to hit me.

"Who are you?" I asked coldly, my voice became even deeper than usual.

They refused to talk. I clicked my tongue and then did something with my web. I shoot it to the wall so they could see that that was electric web. They shivered and whimpered.

"Who are you?" They shivered at my tone and one of them finally spoke.

"We... Um.. It's.. It's not our fault... Sir Eunwoo sent us here" One of them spoke in a shaky voice.

"Who's sir Eunwoo?" I held his neck tightly.

"Our boss... He thought the flash will be there" The other one said. They both sounded defeated.

I sighed. "Where is he now?"

"Probably at the docks" He said blankly. "He always told us to go there for meetings"

"Hang on here, I'll check if you're lying or not" I made sure that the web was strong enough to trap them for few hours and went to the docks.

Eunwoo... Who's this guy?

When I finally was at the docks it was already evening, there wasn't so many people now, maybe that's why that Eunwoo guy did their meetings there.

When I started to investigate, I got a call from Haerin.

"What's up, kitty Kang?" I tried to act normal, as if nothing happened. I didn't want to make her worried.

"I know the name of their leader" She said.

"Me too, it's Eunwoo or something like this" I shrugged my shoulders feeling proud that I knew about him before her.

"It's his fake name, Cha Eunwoo..." She gulped. "Minji... His real name is Dong Min" She whispered.

I froze in the place.

"What?" My voice was shaky. "It's a bad joke, Kang" I laughed nervously.

"I'm not joking, Minji... It's him" She sighed, probably knowing how I feel now.

Tears brimmed in my eyes and I ended the call, rushing out of the docks to the other side of the city.

It can't be.

I got there pretty quick, due to the fact that this flight was very hurtful to my hands. I changed into my usual clothes and took a deep breath before knocking on the door.

Soon the guy, who seemed to be a little older than me opened the door. Dong Min.

"Oh, hey, little one, what brought you here?" He smiled at me brightly.

"Hey, big bro..."
