11. My hero

I may be crazy and just overreacting, but I just feel that something is wrong, I can't sit still, knowing that my girlfriend is in danger so I take Haerin's car in the middle of the night and drive it back to the city.

She and Dani were already sleeping, so I just sneaked out of the big country house that this rich cat owned and hopped into the car.

"I need to see her... Safe and sound" I mumble and start the car, driving myself to the city, just to see her, check on her, is she alright?..

I keep asking myself through the whole ride. When I finally reach the city, I immediately went to Haerin's flat, hoping that Minji will be here, but when I walk into the flat, I see no one.

I sigh and decide to take a break, I take some water out of the fridge and turn on the TV to muffle my thoughts.

That's when I hear breaking news, the article is horrifying.

"Spider-Minki fights for her life with a whole army of criminals"

I look at the TV in disbelief, watching reporters filming the fight and how badly hurt Minji is. My heart sink as I see how much blood she had lost.

My eyes gets watery and I hold back a cry. I then wipe the tears away and when I see how she desperately tries to run and hide in the forest, I stand up and rush to the bathroom, I take a whole med kit with me and a bottle of water, I also seek for some suit attributes in Haerin's office and get all of it into my backpack.

"I need to save her" I whisper before turning off the TV and running out of the flat.

I was in the forest where Minji should be in half of the hour, but the thing is... This forest is huge, where she could be?..

I was searching for her for God knows how much time, it was so dark and I barely can see anything without the flashlight.

After another hour of searching I just sat besides the big tree and hugged my legs. Vision blurred because of the hot tears that's been streaming down my face for a long time now.

I was losing hope. Is she still in the forest? Is she okay? They didn't find her, right?..

I imagined the worst scenario in my head, seeing my lover's lifeless body, covered in blood. Heart aches at the mere thought of Minji dying.

"I can't let this happen.." I sob and wipe my face, standing up.

I take my backpack that I left on the ground and my eyes widen.

I turn on the flashlight and look at the ground. It's blood. I look around and see small puddles of blood going somewhere further into the forest.

I take a deep breath and follow it, running as fast as I could.

"Minji!" I scream my lungs out, hoping that she will hear me. "Minji! Please..." I sob, my voice breaks as I follow the bloody trail. It felt like eternity and I was on the verge of hysteria when I finally spotted a silhouette of a person, lying on the ground.

When I came closer, my heart sink. It's her.

"Minji" My throat hurting after countless hours of screaming and crying, so all I managed to do, is croak her name.
