(Canada's Point of View)
Avery and I hurried out of the room before anyone could notice. "Are you okay?" I asked, panting. "Yeah," she replied. "Where do we go now?" "I wanted to watch a movie tonight, but I have no one to watch it with," I said. "It has vampires!" "If it's Twilight, I'm going to kill you," she warned. "No, it's not!" I replied. "Twilight's stupid. I was going to say it was 'Interview with the Vampire,' but I d-" "I. Love. That. Movie!" she exclaimed, hoping no one heard us. "Uh, okay, then," I said, in awe that Avery and I shared interests. "I'll go get popcorn!" she cheered. "How about pancakes and maple syrup to go with them?" I suggested. "You bet!" she saluted, running towards the kitchen.
As I had said before, I was undeniably in love with Avery. I had no clue if she felt the same way about me, but I dream about her all the time. Hearing her laughter was like taking a trip into heaven. Her emerald eyes shone brighter than the sun. I won't even get started with her hair or her smile. I must admit, she was truly beautiful. "Are you okay, Mattie?" Avery gave me an awkward stare. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine," I replied. "Wait, how did you-" "I can tell a lot about a person by staring into their eyes for a few seconds," she replied, looking away. I stole a handful a popcorn from her, and she tried to playfully smack my hand.
"Nice try!" I teased. She shook her head and laughed, as I shoved the popcorn in my mouth and pressed play. "Did you get the pancakes and syrup?" I asked. "How could I forget?" she replied, handing me my plate and the bottle of syrup. "You're too good, maple," I said. She giggled. "You know," I began. "You can be the Claudia to my Louis, right?" She smiled. "Yes, and I'll stick to you like maple syrup in your hair," she smirked, snatching the bottle from me. I was confused for a moment, until she poured some on my head. She laughed hysterically. "What was that for?" I asked, feeling sorry for the poor syrup. I snatched the bottle from her, and dumped some on her head for revenge. "You idiot!" she giggled, trying to grab the syrup back.
"What are you doing?" my sweet bear asked. "Oh, hey, Kumajojo," Avery said, surprised. "Not you, too," he huffed. "It's Kumajiro." "Whatever, Kumajoupjoup," I teased. He stormed out of the room. Avery shrugged her shoulders and leaned on my arm. "This is probably the best day ever," she murmured. "I'm glad I could be a part of it," I smiled, licking the syrup off her nose. She smiled, and kissed my cheek. "Thank you for understanding me, Mattie," she whispered. I put my arm around her shoulders, and let her head rest on mine. This was awesome.
I know it's short. But hey, more chapters will be coming your way soon! Keep calm and make pasta! ;)
