It had been a week since the Maple Warriors were formed.
We were already standing on solid feet with spy beavers in the base of both the Axis and the Allies. They also helped to build me my very own base in the centre of the forest.
"Are they even looking for me? Do they even care?" I asked Harper, the beaver at the ally base.
"They don't even know you're gone."
"Even Francis?" I checked in.
"Yes."
I suppressed a sob.
Don't cry in front of your underlings. I reminded myself.
"And the Axis base? How are they doing there?" I turned to Trudeau.
"The Allies have left them in bad shape. Their leader died in an explosion and their weapon supplies are damaged beyond repair."
"Wow. So attacking them would be kind of pointless, eh?"
"Precisely." Trudeau nodded his little beaver head.
"Alright. But we're still making a move." I decided.
"What are you planning, by?" Harper inquired.
"We," I let my voice go as loud and dominant as I could get it. "Are going to assert ourselves."
