At Midway International Airport, nestled on the southwest side of Chicago, Abby and Cooper waited eagerly at Gate A4A for their Southwest Airlines flight to Las Vegas. The terminal buzzed with the excitement of travelers, and Cooper couldn't contain his curiosity.
"Mom, which hotel are we staying at?" Cooper asked, his eyes darting around the busy airport.
"We'll be at The Flamingo," Abby replied with a smile. "Once we settle in, you're hitting the pool, then dinner."
"I can't wait," Cooper exclaimed, his mind already wandering to the Vegas adventure ahead.
As their flight was called, they lined up eagerly. Cooper, in his usual upbeat manner, chatted with flight attendants and even signed autographs for some star-struck passengers. Once settled into their seats—Cooper by the window and Abby in the middle—they awaited takeoff with anticipation.
The flight to Las Vegas was smooth, marked by Cooper's excitement peaking as they touched down at McCarran International Airport. The pilot's voice crackled through the cabin speakers, announcing their arrival at 3:15 PM local time.
"Welcome to Las Vegas, where it's 91 degrees," the pilot greeted, steering the plane towards Gate E14.
"We made it!" Cooper exclaimed as they retrieved their bags and caught a taxi to The Flamingo.
After a quick check-in, Abby and Cooper found themselves in a lavish Fab Suite on the 28th floor. The room was sprawling, with views that stretched across the glittering Strip. Cooper couldn't contain his excitement.
"This is amazing!" Cooper marveled, taking in the grandeur of their temporary home.
"We're definitely living it up," Abby agreed with a grin. "Tomorrow, rehearsals start at the Fern Adair Conservatory for Thunderstruck."
After settling in, Cooper changed into swimming trunks, eager to explore the pool. Abby watched fondly as he dipped a toe into the water, only to be playfully pushed in by his mischievous mother.
"Mom!" Cooper surfaced, sputtering with laughter.
"That's payback," Abby laughed, recalling a similar incident back home.
Cooper spent a good while swimming while Abby relaxed on a nearby lounge chair, enjoying the Vegas sun. Eventually, Cooper emerged from the pool, ready for their next adventure.
"Pool time's over. Outback Steakhouse next?" Cooper suggested eagerly.
"Let's get you dried off first," Abby replied, and they headed back to their suite.
After a quick shower and change of clothes, they headed to Outback Steakhouse, where they were joined by Brookie and her mother, Hollie. The evening was filled with laughter and camaraderie as they discussed the upcoming dance competition and the addition of Brookie to the team.
"Kenzie's going to be thrilled," Cooper said, beaming at Brookie.
"I hope so," Brookie replied warmly.
"We're glad to have you both on board," Abby added, raising her glass in a toast.
As they finished their meal and Cooper insisted on paying the bill, they returned to The Flamingo, content and ready for the challenges and excitement that awaited them in Las Vegas.
That night, Abby and Cooper settled into their suite, the lights of the Strip twinkling outside their window. Tomorrow marked the beginning of rehearsals and the imminent arrival of the Dance Moms crew—a pivotal moment in their journey in Sin City.
