Chapter 37: transformations

Sidon's POV

I woke up with Link in my arms pulling them tighter around him "Link are you ok?" I asked with concern after he didn't respond i sat up to see Link not moving and barely breathing "ZELDA HELP!" I screamed with the feeling of terror all over me. Purah Riju and Zelda came running over and Zelda took him out of my arms and placed him onto the table. Purah was doing medical things to him as Riju and Zelda were trying to calm me down, it wasnt helping and i was starting to panic. I felt stuck like i couldnt move and then Purah noticed something and called over Zelda.

"Can someone please tell me what is going on!" I said trying not to get mad. "Sidon, Link was shot." Zelda said calmly "wait what, what do you mean he cant have i would've noticed!" I say a little more agitatedly "You would've noticed this?" She says holding up a small dart with markings on that I recognise. I manage to stand up and walk over to them and then I realised the markings were multiple Zora crest's and that was only a warning sign. "They have found us." I mumbled Zelda's ears perking up and Riju walking over "I have an idea that might work, its safe and quick." Riju says "I also have an idea but its only if Sidon agrees with it." Zelda says making me anxious "what?" I ask  scared of what she will say. "Me and you could go to the spring of wisdom in Lanayru mountain since i am the reincarnation of the goddess they will most likely agree with what we say." She starts and then sits me down as Purah attends to Link trying to wake him "Well Sidon it's quite obvious that you are the Prince of Zora, and only if you agree you could turn...Hylian it would be harder for the Zora to find you." She said and i didnt know how to respond to that do i really want to be a Hylian. "WHAT!" Link screams "NO!" He said in less of a scream "Link it's not your choice." Zelda says to him sternly in the princess voice she used earlier  "Would i ever be able to be a Zora again?" I asked this will be a big part of my decision "I can see what i can do." She says "Then yes I'll do it." I say, she nods and goes to pray.

Link grabs my hands and pull them toward him "Oh my pearl are you ok?" I say hugging him tightly he nods "Sidon you cant turn Hylian." He says with tears in his eyes "Im doing this for you, you know they have found us and attacked you!"   I say stroking Links hair and he sniffles into my chest. "Ok." He whispers "Sidon we make our way up there at 22:45." She says and i nod "Oh Zelda i have made a new device like the sheikah slate but I've named it  the Purah Pad you can have it, it'll be useful with travelling up there because you can travel to the shrine + you can travel with multiple people." Purah said passing the Purah pad to Zelda "what i cant do that!" Link exclaims "oh you can Link you just assumed you cant." Purah said looking at a shocked Link.

It was around 22:30 and me and Zelda where in the Tech labs with Purah, Riju and Link had took Mipha home awaiting our return. Purah gave us a brief breakdown of how to work the pad and the Zelda took my hand and pressed the symbol to travel to the Jitan Sa'mi shrine.

Link's POV

Me and Riju sat on the stairs talking about whatever came into our minds "I assume you know that the Zora have found us." Riju says i nod and make my way up the stairs to check on Rue and she follows "Well once Zelda and Sidon have come back we are going to go back to Geurdo it will be harder for the Zora to find us because of the extreme heat." I nod again and pick up Rutela and took her to the stairs scared to leave her alone. I stop and see the door open. I drop down trying not to hurt Rue and Riju runs behind me, we see a tired Zelda pull a Hylian through the door by his arms. "Zelda!" Riju says as we walk down the stairs towards them. "Go get some rest." I tell her and handing Rue to Riju before kneeling beside the tall Hylian. He had burgundy hair and dark skin with multiple scars over his face and torso. He was only wearing trousers and a blue tear pendant his long curly red hair flowing to his shoulders. "Sidon?" I whisper touching his hair he lifted his hand up to touch mine "Link?" He said showing his beautiful golden eyes, he sat up and hugged me tightly.

We sat like that for a while and then Riju came out handing little Rue to us "When do we leave?" I ask Riju "in about 2 hours so get ready." She says walking back to pack. I help Sidon up and surprisingly he was round about the same height i would say 6'7" before he was 6'9" it wasn't a massive difference "admiring me are you?" He says after i realise that i was staring at him, i blush and make my way up the stairs. It was weird seeing Sidon so different I opened the door and started packing a bag and when i turned around i saw Rue playing with the pendant around Sidon's neck and accidentally slipped it off. A bright light filled the room and surrounded Sidon and went inside him, then i saw that sweet Zora i love. "Sidon what the hell!" I say walking towards him "Zelda helped me so I didn't have to fully forget my roots." He said as i knelt down next to him "I prefer you as a Zora." I whispered seductively into his ear making him blush as he puts back on the pendant transforming back into a Hylian. "I'll keep that in mind." He whispered into my ear and then went to carry in the packing.
