Merletta was in the training grounds of Monstruon's knights, while the knights were practicing their skills, one of them was her bodyguard, Arthur Arghtin, the top of his class and one of the best knights in the kingdom, as well as he was the son of the captain of the royal guard.

Arthur was talking to Merletta while practicing his sword fighting with a dummy.
Arthur: ( to Merletta, honestly as he was practicing his sword: ) All my life, I have been treated like I'm something special because of my father. I just want to be treated like everyone else.
Merletta: ( raised her brow with a blank expression: ) Really?
Arthur: You have no idea how lucky you are.
Merletta: ( sarcastically: ) Well, if you ever want to swap places, let me know.
Arthur: ( turns to Merletta ) I'm serious. You must be the luckiest person in the kingdom.
Merletta: ( sarcastically: ) Yeah, I am lucky... To be cursed by my creator to live forever to spite some blonde human bitch by just existing, and to know that I'm going to outlive every person I met and see-
The Monstruonian squire, who was a satyr, ran into the training grounds, looking panic, gaining the attention of the knights and Merletta.
Arthur: ( to the squire: ) Whoa, there, my friend. What's the matter?
Monstruonian squire: ( panicked: ) It's Sir Joe Featherin. He's at it again.
Arthur and all the knights let out a groan.
Merletta: Again? Does that bird brain have a death wish?
Monstruonian squire: Maybe? It's Joe.
Arthur: Come on. Let's go fetch him.
( A few minutes later, outside the walls of the realm )
Merletta, Arthur, and a few other Monstruonian knights walked out of the forest outside the human kingdom's walls, away from the blast zone of the wall's cannons, and saw that a rooster aarakocra ( a bird-like humanoid creature ) Monstruonian knight, was calmly laying on his back on the ground wearing sunglasses, in the middle of the blast zone.
Merletta: For a chicken.... Joe is one brave son of a bitch.
Arthur: ( to Joe: ) Joe! Get out of the blast zone!
Joe: It's alright, dudes! I'm just getting a tan.
Merletta: You're covered in feathers, Joe! I don't think that's possible.
Arthur: ( to Merletta and the other Monstruonian knights: ) Alright, who's going to save Joe before he becomes fried chicken.
Werewolf Monstruonian knight: Mm... Fried chicken. ( Sees that they were giving him " wtf " looks ) What?
Merletta: ( to the werewolf knight: ) Can you not think about your stomach for ten minutes, Gwaine?
Gwaine: Yeah... When I'm eating. ( Laughs )
Merletta: Alright, then it's up to me.
Merletta began walking down to Joe, ignoring the Monstruonian knights behind her 's protests.
Gwaine: Kid! Oh, the king is going to kill us.
Arthur: Lady Merletta! It's too dangerous for a little girl-
Merletta: ( to Arthur, as she's walking towards Joe into the blast zone: ) I am literally older than all of you! And let's not forget... ( Casts a force field around herself ) magic. I'll be fine, you clotpoles.
Merletta then grabbed Joe by the back of his shirt and began dragging him out of the blast zone to Arthur and the group.
Joe: Aw, man. I was beginning to feel the heat.
Merletta: And I am saving your tail feather.
Merletta then used her magic to teleport herself, and the knights back to the Monstruonian training grounds.
Gwaine: Ugh. A little warning, Merletta-
Arthur: Gwaine, it's impolite to not address her status.
Gwaine: ( to Arthur: ) But she hates it when we- ugh, fine. ( To Merletta: ) Please a little warning next time, sudden teleportation upsets the stomach.
Joe: That, like, only happens to you, Gwaine.
Gwaine: Oh, shush. You are the one that's always almost cooking himself.
Merletta: ( rolls her eyes at them ) I'm going to my room. Don't follow me.
Merletta then walked off, went to her room,and she closed the door behind her with a tired sigh.
