Chapter 10: Sandy Bay's Salvation

Jesse's POV

We were walking through the town, many of the townsfolk came to thank us and praise us. I guess news of the defeat of Emperor Steam spread quickly. We stopped at Doug and Matilda's house before we left to get our stuff and thank them for their help. As we started heading towards the edge of the city, I saw something I was not expecting. It was Lindy, Null, and the rest of the townsfolk who were temporary housed in our clinic! "Lindy! Null! Larry!" I shouted in unison with Nelina as they walked closer to us. "I heard of the news. I cannot thank you enough Jesse." Lindy said, as Larry mooed in agreement beside her. "Yeah, us too!" Nelina and Null told me, soon followed by the rest of the people from Sandy Bay. "Everyone has made a full recovery at the clinic. We figured we'd come to help you out, but you've already defeated him. Hopefully life here will soon return to normal, even though we've got a lot of building and reforms to do." Null said. "I hope you guys can make this the best Sandy Bay it can be!" I said.

Time skip – 2 Weeks – Jesse's POV

We stayed for two weeks to help Sandy Bay rebuild. Emperor Steam's Palace has been converted into apartment buildings to help provide enough housing for the residents. With all of the help from everyone, including people from the portal networks we've met, rebuilding has been going pretty quickly. Lindy has been re-elected and everything is going smoothly. The hardest part of it was actually just keeping Ivor and Axel from pouring lava over everything. "Long live lava!" "Yeah, yeah!" I suddenly heard in the distance. I sighed. That's one thing that will just never be changed. It's about time to say goodbye to everyone. Me, my friends, and everyone from the other portal worlds stood at the edge of the town waving to everyone. "Goodbye Jesse! Thank you for everything!" Lindy shouted happily towards us. "Yes! We couldn't of done it without you!" Nelina exclaimed, waving. "You saved us all, we really owe you one!" Null said. "Moo!" Larry mooed along. "If you ever need any help with anything, we would be happy to help, and feel free to visit us!" Lindy said.  I waved as I started walking back to this portal with my group. As we were nearing the portal, we were faced with a sunset, swirling the already pink sky with a palette of pinks and purples. It sure was beautiful. As I was walking further into the sunset, getting ready to enter the portal, I couldn't help but think about what adventures would wait for us in the future!

Dandy's POV

"Aghhh!!!!!!!!" I shrieked as an oversized chicken nearly trampled me. "Oh, you'll get used to it Dandy." Hadrian flatly said. "Well, I sure haven't!" Mevia said as she narrowly avoided a giant chicken. Ugh... Trapped in the world of giant chickens. Just for trying to take over the world they threw me in this portal?! But I don't know what's worse punishment, the chickens, or Hadrian's voice. "Dandy! Help, I can't get this chicken off of me!" Hadrian whined.
