A Prince and Spy (Ninjago Lava)

I Object!

Kai's Pov:

As he looked at his suit in the mirror he felt a heavy weight on his shoulders. He had the cuffs on him and guards surrounded his room. He was wearing a black blazer over a dark red button up. He wore normal black trousers and fancy black shoes.

He sighed. He knew all he could do was hope his friends would be able to stop the wedding.

"Sir, it's time", a guard called, peeking through his room.

Here goes nothing, he thinks to himself.

He stands next to the podium, music playing in his ear. As Skylor steps forward with the King of Amber, King Jackson, he thinks about Cole. Her red hair compliments her white dress. Its mermaid cut, but Kai notices her face. Her expression resembles his. She didn't seem to want this anymore than he did.

When they reached the part of 'does anyone object to this marriage' Kai prayed that someone, anyone would stop it, but after a moment of silence he sighed.

"Then I now-"

"I OBJECT!" Kai turned his head to a raven-haired boy.

"Cole!" Kai said in delight.

Cole ran into him, hugging him tightly. Kai let go of the hug to pull him in for a kiss. It was as if time stopped. But soon a few guards, Obsidian and Amber, were around them.

"Hey Kai, I like your fire, but how about some earth!" Cole sends a shock of rocks at a line of guards.

"You have an elemental power!" He says, shocked.

"Cool huh, just found out about them."

They blast guards, Skylor helping Zane, both blasting Ice. Lloyd clutches onto Zane, seemingly scared, but less than normal. Soon in the chaos Kai catches up to Skylor. "

"Hey Skylor, I'm sorry about this. Nothing personal."

She shrugs at him and says "Eh, it's whatever. I'm a lesbian anyway."

Kai felt so much lighter knowing that she didn't like him in the first place.

They continued to fight, but began to slow down. As Cole and Kai make their way to the others Zane tells them to go get the armor.

"Are you sure?" Kai was worried, holding Lloyd who was clutching his side.

"We'll be fine. Go!" Skylor says.

As they begin to run away they spot Jay and Nya.

"Jay!" Cole yells. They run to them and spot the armor Jay clutched in his hand.

"We gotta get you to my father", Kai said, not skipping a beat.

Kai spots his father in the chaos, commanding guards. They make their way to a table in view of him, and Jay stands on top of it.

"Everybody Freeze!" Jay yells and Zane freezes their feet, making them unable to move.

Kai knew his father was unable to do anything after passing his power down to Kai, but he still worried.

"Look, a long time ago, when I was five my father left for the Obsidian Kingdom, hoping to find a cure for my mothers illness. When the Obsidian Kingdom couldn't provide one he blamed her death on them, stealing the allied armor. He started the war out of anger and grief, telling me my whole life this was for my own good and that Obsidian citizens were heartless monsters. But I know the truth."

Jay took a deep breath then continued.

"I followed my father that day, and I know you did everything to help us." Jay looks at Kai's father with a sad expression.

"My father was angered that it wasn't enough and made a rash decision. He didn't know it would spin into a thirteen year long war. I am here to stop it, before more of our kingdoms become more destroyed."

Jay sighs, looking at the armor.

"I can't count how many villages I've seen vanish, and I'm sure you have suffered the same."

Jay gets down from the table to the Obsidian King.

"I, Jay, Prince of Lightning, offer peace."

He hands the king the armor, and Kai's father sighs.

"I agree with you Jay, I'm sorry we couldn't save your mother. I accept your peace offering."

Kai melted the ice, releasing everyone.

Finally the war was over.
