Kai's Pov:
It was 2019, a year since the war ended. Kai made sure to tuck Lloyd in before going out that night with Cole. As he puts on his suit his father knocks on the door.
"Did you tuck your brother in?" He asks.
"I did." He turns to his father and asks "does this look okay?"
His father adjusted his red bow and smiled.
"You look perfect, son. Before you leave just remember Nya is spending the night with Jay, also Pixel and Zane are coming tomorrow to discuss the plans for tearing down part of the forest, thus uniting our kingdoms."
"I know. I'll be back around 12:00 okay?"
"Knock em' dead son."
Kai grabs the bouquet of flowers he got for Cole and leaves.
"Kai, I'm over here!", a raven-haired boy calls.
Kai smiles and sits down with his boyfriend. They were at their favorite restaurant. The bouquet of sunflowers and orange carnations shine at him.
"I got these for you." He slid the bouquet of flowers to Cole, whose face lit up.
"My favorite." His happy voice melted Kai's heart.
"I'm sorry I was late, I had to tuck Lloyd in."
"How is the little prince anyway?" Cole asks.
"Better. He's accepted us as his family, but still isn't feeling the best."
A moment of silence filled the air, but Kai didn't care. He was with his love.
"I can't believe a year has gone by already", Cole says, breaking the silence.
"Sure does feel like a short time, huh?"
"Yeah, It does."
