Vera couldn't belive her ears and she looks in rudra direction but he was not looking at her he was sitting with his head facing down vera for few minutes feels awkward

After class

Everyone was leaving , vera was waiting for rudra, but rahul came instead and congratulate her

Rahul: wow bro you rock it totally I don' t belive ki sirf ek month mai tumne rudra ko peeche chod dia, you know from the time I am in this school wo kbhi second nhi aya

Vera nod and she saw rudra coming , she walks to him

Vera: rudra I am really sorry I really didn't

Rudra : what are you sorry for ? it's not like you done something wrong you worked hard and got first place don't be sorry for that

He said with poker face

Vera: oh thank god mujhe dr lgrha tha kit um bura na man jao

Rudra: isme bura manne wali konsi bat hai

Vera: it was only because of you I was able to improve my marks thankyou so much , if you have a minute can I treat you coffee

Rudra: no vera, I am getting late for my coaching and I don't have time to waste

Vera gets a little off with his tone but still she smile

Vera: koi bat nhi I will treat you later,

Rudra nods and leave for his coaching classes with vera's words still replaying in his head " it was only because of you I was able to improve my marks"

After that day whenever vera tried to pick up a conversation rudra either avoid her or makes an excuse to postopone conversation , vera didn't get his behavior and thought that he trying to overcome the situation and leave him alone. Even in a class he didn't even look at her and start giving her cold shoulder. Vera also didn't disturb him again and start focusing on her own study.

On other hand rudra got scolded alot by his father for not being able to rank first and they start pressuring him more he was already dealing with alot and vera added to it. Most of his opponent from another classes start making fun of him and start passing him comments like he was so full of himself and that serve him right. All these facts raise his stress level and he start smoking more than before.

One day vera was doing her work when he come to her and tell her to meet outside in a recess . when she went to him on the rooftop he was smoking cigratte.

Vera: rudra tum ye kya kr rhe ho you shouldn't

Rudra turned towards her In a rage and throw his cigratte

Rudra: if I ask you one thing will you answer me honestly

Vera didn't understand why rudra blaming her for something she didn't commit

He said in angry tone almost yelling at her

A tear roll down from vera's eyes even when she tried hard to not lose to her emotions but all of rudra's words were hurting her so much as he was blaming her for something she didn't commit

Rudra: oh comeon or kitna jhuth bologi and I actually thought you are a good person , stupid me mene apni studies chod kr tumhari help kri and tum

Vera: to tum mujhse is lie gussa ho kyuki tum nhi mai first ayi hu, because you used to looked down on me or tumhe kbhi lga nhi tha ki mera jesa koi tumhara rank cheen skta hai

Rudra: oh shutup ok tumhe kya lgta hai ki ek bar meri mdd leke top krne se tum scholarship ke exam mai bhi select ho jayogi you are not qualified enough for that wo to agr mai tumhari help na krta

Vera: hn to kyu kri thi tumne meri help mene to mna kr dia tha na you came to me

Rudra: itni bechari shkl bnakr ayi thi tum mere pas and you knew that you have my secret and I couldn't say no to you ......hn leave it you better not show me your face again

Then he was about to leave from there when vera 's voice stopped him

Vera: I thought you liked me.

Rudra: you think someone as selfish and cheap as you can become someone's lover specially mine you are still dumb for me not matter what you IQ level is . you can't do anything without my help.

vera walk close to him with tears in her eyes.

vera: than what about our kiss what was all that? why did you kissed me tell me?

rudra: oh please shutup that kiss was mutual and you wanted me to kiss you, you were so upset about me backing off, you wanted it and i gave it to you and you kissed me back its not like i force myself on you.

Vera: if that's the case I'll show you what I can do without your help and yeah i was dumb to kiss you back because i liked you for you it was just kiss without any emotions fuck you.

She said wiping her tears from her cheeks

And he leave from there. From that day they never talked again rahul noticed it but rudra give him cold shoulder too, vera said him to ignore all these facts and assure him that there is nothing to be worried for. Everyting continue like this and vera top the final exam of 11th standard too and day by day improvement become visible in her. On the other hand rudra become frustrated from being ranked second again. Vera tried to talk to him but he refused to listen and nothing changed between them.

There session was over and there summer holiday was going on . vera was coming back after doing her sift in cafe and thought to buy an icecream for her grandmother. she bought one for her also and was walking while eating it when a guy bump into her from back and she in turn bump into girl who was walking in front of her
