She caught sight of something and her eyes became fixated on it, but before she could even approach it, Rudra called out to her, waved his hand, and motioned for her to come over. She averted her gaze from the object she had been ogling at.
Vera: "yes sir".
She responded, her thoughts still ruminating.
Rudra: "The deceased's mother has also been told to come to the hospital because she won't be able to see her daughter in this way. I am currently leaving for some other work, but I will meet you there right away".
He spoke all of this while maintaining a fixed glance on her face, but she wasn't looking at him for some reason he couldn't explain.
Vera: "ok sir"
Despite being distracted, she managed to respond.
Rudra: "Mohit can take care of the remaining paperwork and formalities, so you can go attend your party".
Although he said it to taunt her, he truly thought it might be the reason she was dozing off. Vera may have misunderstood what he meant by what he said while giving the term "party" special preference.
Vera: "you really don't need to worry about me, sir; after I check something, I'll leave on my own".
She responded coolly, aware that the remark was intended to enrage her on purpose.
Rudra: "but I permitted you to leave",
He made an effort, but he knew she wouldn't listen since she never did.
Then he gave it some thought and responded, "Okay, do as you please."
Vera: "yes sir".
Rudra was abruptly stopped as he prepared to depart and moved towards his car by Vera.
Vera: "excuse me sir'
she pulled out a small, multicoloured, expensive box from her purse and pointed it in his direction ,Rudra looked at it for a moment but was unable to comprehend the significance of her move .
Vera: "here"
she arched her eyebrow at him and direct her eyes at box
Rudra: "what is it?"
Still perplexed, he remarked with a puzzled expression.
Vera: "My new foundation is this. It's yours to keep".
She spoke with a straight face, allowing him to hear every word she uttered.
Rudra: sorry?
still ......confused
Vera: "You remarked to me earlier that the only thing I do now that I've been promoted is wear more makeup. Why don't you try it too? Who knows, it might even work for you, sir, and you'll receive a promotion".
She remarked with a sly smile that she is skilled at using his words and deeds against him. successfully
Rudra chuckled at her in an innocent way because he appreciates her creativity.
Rudra: "You are truly extraordinary. I'll use the gift wisely, so thank you. Many thanks"
He continued to smile as he pushed the shining box into his pocket and turned to head for his car.
Vera: pleasure all mine.
Vera responded at his back as Rudra sat in his seat and watched her approach Mohit and leave his vehicle.
Rudra: "she will never change"
He began his engine and stated with a smile.Vera began to move in the direction of Mohit with an irate young woman expression on her face.
Vera: "what a dummy She made a humorous imitation of him and said, "You can go to your party." A tight-fisted jerk even retained my foundation; what a jerk".
When she arrived at Mohit, he was assisting the medical team in wrapping the body in a plastic sheet and placing it in a bodypack. There was more employees working on the same project.
Vera: "Mohit, did you examine the deceased's belongings?"
she questioned him he still being engaged with covering body,
Mohit: "Yes, ma'am, it simply includes her phone, bag, and a few other items from her bag".
After completing his duties, he turns to face her.
Vera:" Have you noticed any footwear at the crime scene?"
She made him another query.
Mohit: "no mam why?"
He responds, unsure of how body shoes relate to the investigation.
Vera:" because body's shoes are missing"
She said, turning her attention to the body, causing Mohit to look at it and realise that Vera was correct—the body lacked shoes.
Vera: "Have you checked the terrace of the building?"
He questioned him while he was still trying to come to terms with the reality that he had missed the body's missing shoes.
Mohit: "actu Actually, Ma'am, nothing was on the patio".
His speech was shaky since he didn't even properly examine the terrace because he thought it was unimportant.
Vera then walked in the direction of the building. When Vera was about to ascend the stairs, Mohit stopped her.
Mohit: mam there is also a lift right here
Vera: lift in this building? Are u sure?
she gave him questioning look
Mohit:' ji mam"
He leads her towards the lift after that. There was nothing on the patio, and Mohit was right.
Mohit: "see mam I told you there is nothing on the terrace"
he sigh with a relief
Vera: "yea I know and that's the problem"
Mohit: "means? I didn't get that"
He grew tense once more.
Vera: "Soon you'll comprehend, but for now, try locating that sneaker".
Mohit: "Yes, ma'am, but I believe that you are thinking too much, even if the forensics department has now deemed it suicide, and I also believe that...."
He counselled her.
Vera: "you know what actually you are right every police officer here is a bunch of fools we should close cases after listening to your opinion"
Mohit was able to comprehend what she was saying.
Mohit:' sorry mam"
Vera: "better. I am leaving now"
She departs, and Mohit sighs deeply.
Sergeant: "This woman, sir, seems to have a temper problem".
Mohit: "she is not particularly awful, however after meeting DIG sir, her temperature tends to automatically rise".
Sergeant: "but why?"
Mohit:" i don't know, Since I joined, they have both behaved in this manner alone".
Vera left her car parked outside an NGO. An enormous signboard advertising an NGO for people with special needs could be seen in front of the organisation. A 25th anniversary welcome board was also mounted on top of the NGO.
