Time flies they told me
And oh, how true it seemed,
For it felt like just yesterday,
This story began,
Each line written by hand.
Yet here I am, once again,
At another year's end.

I flipped the page,
And oh how fast it turned,
And the fact that only after that, I learned...

To cherish the smiles and laughs we had
Because just like these memories
Others were also one of a kind
Ones I'd surely keep in mind.

These memories, these magical times,
Light up the pathways on which we walk with stride.
And with each step we remember
what we once were in the past,
and what we desire to be the most
at last...

Through this wait, years will pass,
Times will change,
But all the memories we had,
Will becomes precious, like blocks of gold...
A type of wealth, that'll forever remain wanted,
That will forever be the same.

And how true it is,
That these golden memories are the ones that...

shape us,
Mold us,
mend us,

in ways sometimes we don't even notice.

Live life to the fullest, they say... and so I did,
Because I don't want to look back at yesterday... and regret it.
