Alicia's P.O.V
It took me some time to process my thoughts and emotions since seeing MinHyun stood there at the door.
From what Ricardo had said, it seemed as though he had already found him and killed him to prevent a family reunion like this happening.
But judging by Minhyun's words there was definitely more to the story.
"Here, eat up, you must be starving" Chris spoke, placing a bowl of ramen in front of Minhyun who smiled and thanked him.
"So you've been in hiding all this time? Since mom died..."
He nodded, eating a mouthful of ramen as I could see the sadness behind his eyes.
"Yeah, i knew it would only a matter of time until Ricardo found out. I left to keep you safe, for as long as I could. Alicia...you look so much like her, you're so beautiful and so grown up" He smiled as I smiled too, although part of me still felt uncomfortable, even though this man was my real father and had been so nice to me as a kid, I hadn't had any time to bond with him since. Things just felt a little...out of place.
"So Minhyun...is there a reason you came here? Or was it just to see Liss?" Chan asked as Minhyun's smile began to fade, eating another mouthful he wiped his mouth and sighed.
"I know this is clearly bad timing...Alicia with you being so vulnerable and well...heavily pregnant. But I'm here to deliver some information, information that I think it's important you know regardless. All the work you guys have done, taking down the Morelli's, the Choi's...I hate to tell you this but there is a much more bigger operation going on currently. The word has spread of your involvement in the rebellion"
My heart dropped at the thought, this wasn't all over? How could I still be in danger after so long?
"A bigger operation? Who else is involved in this?" Chan asked, I could feel him tensing, stood protectively beside me. Even if he knew Minhyun wouldn't harm me he still put himself before me, guarding and shielding me.
