WORD COUNT - 2025
-----------
Jackson's P.O.V
My heart raced with anticipation as I began to unlock the doors. Knowing full well that Idra Sanleone and his men were right behind them.
I knew that I had to bait them inside, to stick to the plan of letting them think Cassie escaped her kidnappers and came running to me herself. All to just distract them while Jisung and the others got into position, ready to take them out.
It had to work, If anything I had more than enough faith in myself to make this believable, I just hope Cassie had it in her too.
With bated breath, I finally opened up the door with Cassie stood right behind me. I stood tall and firm, trying to not be intimidated in the slightest. But despite my hardened exterior, even someone like me hid a certain level of nerves.
His dark eyes switched between both myself and Cassie, as if he were trying to read the room, to determine any weaknesses.
"Oh Idra" Cassie cried, practically throwing her arms around him as he caught her with one arm only, the unsettling frown plastered on his face.
"Cass? Someone better explain what the hell is going on. Did he do this? Do I have to hurt him again?" He asked, his eyes now shooting daggers at me as Cassie quickly let go of him, her gaze fixated back on me too.
This was the moment of truth, the moment that would decide what Cassie's true intentions were. The moment of make it or break it.
Would she throw it all away for us? To drop me in it right now and practically sacrifice me on the spot?
Or would she actually stick to her word, actually gain her own freedom.
My eyes never left hers, as we all waited her answer. But soon enough she shook her head, tears beginning to fall down her cheeks.
"No Idra....Jackson has been helping me come to terms with it, it was so awful...being kidnapped"
I felt the massive wave of relief wash over me, finally hearing her choose the right choice as she walked back into the house. With Idra and his men following.
The plan was working, we had them surrounded.
"You're saying you were kidnapped by the guys you struck the deal with? I can't wrap my head around it Cass. They were weak. You should've been able to take them out on your own. I knew you shouldn't have been trusted with that task..." Idra spat, his head shaking as he barely looked back at her.
