Jisung's P.O.V

"Almost there, keep your eyes peeled alright?" I asked as Jackson nodded in response, the both of us checking our surroundings out of the windows.

Nothing stood out yet. But still we had to keep our guard up. The docks being trashed was no coincidence, we weren't the only ones trying to find Minhyun and by the state they left the place, I doubt they just wanted to talk.

"It's gotta be the Sanleone's, they'll be pinpointing anyone who could help us. They would've got word of who Minhyun is and his relation to Alicia" Jackson spoke, his voice sturdy even if I could hear a slight bit of worry in him.

He lived with Minhyun for a while, it was understandable for him to be worried. But Minhyun was able to leave the Morelli place and stay in hiding for so long, surely he would have back up plans for this kind of situation.

"Regardless of who it is, we have to do everything we can to protect him. Not only has he got vital information to help us, he's Liss' father. I meant it when I said I didn't want her to lose anyone else" I admitted, narrowing the car around the corner as I gradually reduced my speed.

The village came into view, but what stood out was that it was oddly quiet. Again like the docks.

"Something's off, park here, we'll have to walk the rest of the way without being spotted" Jackson stated as I turned the car against the curb, slowly parking it up and switching off the engine.

The eerie silence as we approached on foot was unnerving. I pulled up the village map on my phone, marking our position.

"Let's split up, watch each other's backs. I'll take the northwest side." Jackson nodded and headed south, on high alert, while I continued to creep into the village.

The first few houses showed signs of hurried departure. Half-packed bags, food from meals that had been made a few hours ago max, these people had left, but why?

As I continued walking a flyer, drifting through the wind caught my eye. I grabbed it hastily, reading its contents as my eyebrows furrows.

The flyer warned residents to evacuate at once due to an illness in the area. Surely not?

A bad feeling gnawed at my gut. I tapped my radio, holding in the button to get a hold of Jackson.

"Somethings not right, I just found a flyer that told all these residents to leave. The excuse being an illness. Jackson we should head back to the car ASAP, figure out what to do next"
