A/N; Now that the series of Taste is finally finished, I wanted to create a whole new spin off. Featuring none other than another one of our fearless hotties Cassie Sanleone, and of course Jackson Wang.

So I have created a teaser chapter of their life after the rebellion had ended and after the wedding. Giving you a hint at what's to come in the new book.

Cassie's P.O.V

"Don't you think moving in together is just a little, I don't know, huge?" I spoke, my hand firmly in Jackson's as the two of us strolled down the streets to view the latest modern apartment that had popped up for sale online.

"Cass, we were stuck living together for 14 months. I'm sure it's nothing we can't handle...together" he answered, his lips turning up slightly as he gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.

I mean after all he was right, he always was. Yet I just couldn't seem to wrap my head around it.

We had our freedom now, and after months of being trapped in a house with him, we were finally looking at moving in together...for real this time.

I had never been for the domestic side of things. After all I was part of the biggest mafia boss line up, life was forever a roller coaster and now, well...I was free, whatever that meant.

"What is it? Talk to me Cass..." Jackson spoke, my head tilted up to look at his once more, his eyes reading my face easily as they always did.

"It just feels so...permanent. It's not that I don't want it, I do, I want to be around you. But it's like once we do this, there's no going back to the old ways, our old lives-"

"That's a good thing right? If I remember correctly our old lives included an undercover journalist writing for a bunch of mafia goons who fed off their power and a lost mafia princess, constantly overlooked by her family and was never appreciated enough. Times have changed Cassie, we didn't end the war together for no reason. I never expected to fall hard for you either, but how couldn't I? You're the bravest, most loyal, most damn beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on"

I felt my eyes roll at that last statement, I know they shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it.

"No, you don't get to do that, she's married now" he quickly stated, once again reading my mind.

"Maybe so, but you definitely used to say that about Alicia" I replied, watching the smile on his lips falter. I immediately felt guilty, but I couldn't help it. Maybe it was my insecurities, maybe it was my biggest issues at accepting someone felt that way about me.

"What do I have to do to prove to you that you're the only one I want Cassie?" He asked, stopping now directly in front of me. His eyes pleading as he kept my hand firmly in his.

I could tell he was genuine, and it killed me to constantly overlook it.

I had to find a way to believe it all, I had to be 110% ready to make the commitment to live with him forever. And that meant working through my own internal issues, finding a way to satisfy my mind and my heart.

"Let's go travelling" I answered, watching as his eyes widened slightly in both surprise and confusion.

"Travelling?"

"Mhmm, let's take a year's break. I wanna travel the world Jackson. I have so many things I wanna see, I want to experience a normal life without worries or responsibilities. If we can survive the longest vacation together then, maybe, just maybe, we can finally move in together, start our future, get normal jobs and all that" I explained, laughing and breaking out into a smile at just the thought.

I could picture the two of us, sightseeing, laughing, getting drunk, probably getting into all sorts of trouble but it being the most fun I'd ever had.

All with him at my side.

"You never fail to surprise me Cassie Sanleone" He laughed, shaking his head as he took my other hand too.

"Well? What do you say...Jackson Wang?" I smirked, looking up at him. The sunlight glinting in his irresistible dark eyes. I used to hate how annoyingly handsome he was back when we were enemies, yet now all I feel is an insane amount of butterflies fluttering not just in my stomach.

Jackson smiled down at me, his gaze both warm and tender.

"If that's what it takes, then it sounds like a dream" he grinned before pulling me close, his hand slipping behind me waist as he gave me a lingering kiss that left me weak at the knees. His lips soft, yet insistent, igniting the flames of longing I always felt for him.

As he drew back, I sighed lightly, wishing we weren't in public.

"It's a date. You, Me and the open road. We'll pack as lightly as possible and see where the wind takes us hmm?" he murmured, his fingers reaching out to brush a lock of hair from my face.

"No plans, no responsibilities...just enjoy the moment together" He added as I nodded, feeling the weight of my chest lift so easily.

"Sounds like a plan" I grinned as his hand cupped my cheek, his thumb stroking my skin.

"and when it's all over, there's no way you'll be able to resist moving in with me" He winked playfully, making me laugh again. I leaned my head against his chest, breathing in his familiar scent and knew without a doubt this was the right decision.

Our year of real freedom was about to begin.

Little did I know what would be in store for us.

"Where to first?" I asked, pulling back once more. Although I was quickly greeted by the knowing smirk on his lips.

"Oh I already have that all planned out. First step in proving I'm completely and utterly obsessed with you. I'm taking you to Paris" he grinned as I found myself laugh at the thought, the blush silently creeping across my cheeks.

"The city of love" he finished.
