Chapter 14

Today was finally the day that Severus and James would take Harry to Hogsmeade. Severus was sitting at breakfast with Narcissa, as normal.

"Do you think that I could go with you to Hogsmeade? I've got no one else to go with." Asked Narcissa who was sitting across from him.

"Sure, I invited Lily so that means she'll probably bring Mary. James is coming so he'll probably bring his two friends."

"Ugh that means I'll still be the third wheel! Lily has Mary, Sirius has Lupin, and you have James!" She groaned before taking a bite of her eggs.

"What do you mean, me and James? We're not dating!" Exclaimed Severus.

"Whatever, just try to not leave me out." She pouted.

"Of course I won't." Severus rolled his eyes.

"You'd better eat something, you'll be using up all your energy at Hogsmeade." She said as she pushed a plate of toast to him.

"Harry, have Daddy or Papa ever taken you to Hogsmeade?" Asked Severus who was trying to change the subject from him and James.

"No!" Harry shook his head. "So this will be your first time going, I can't believe I'll be here for this important moment." Said Narcissa dramatically.

"It's not that big a deal. He was bound to go anyway in his third year. Just hurry and eat so we don't miss it." Severus gestured for Narcissa to hurry up.

Around ten minutes later both Narcissa and Harry finished their food. "Done! Let's go." She said as she set down her spoon and stood up, Severus doing the same.

"So what do you plan on buying?" Asked Severus once he caught up to her. "Well I mostly needed to buy Christmas gifts for my parents and sisters. They are already finished at Hogwarts."

"Yes, your sisters are Bellatrix and Andromeda? If I remember correctly." Asked Severus. "Yes! I'm the youngest."

"I'll probably just stay here for Christmas. I don't want to go back to that house." He shivered at the thought of his muggle father.

"Hello Severus, oh Naricssa, I didn't know you were coming." Said Lily who was skipping up to them. "Yes, I didn't have anyone else to go with." She smiled sympathetically.

"You're never this happy Lily. Did something happen?" Asked Severus. She was definitely happier than she usually was.

"You'll find out soon." She said before walking next to Narcissa and whispering something in her ear. "What!" She squealed. "What happened? Tell me!!" Severus pouted.

"Sorry Severus, would you like me to hold Harry?" Asked Lily who was trying to change the subject.

"Nope I've got him, thank you very much." Said James who came out of nowhere and swooped Harry from Severus's hands.

"Daddy!!" Yelled Harry with a bright smile on his face. "Hello Harry, are you excited to go to Hogsmeade?" Asked James to which Harry nodded eagerly.

"Lily, isn't Mary going with us?" Asked Severus "Yes! She's waiting with Remus and Sirius at Hogsmeade. They were able to get there earlier." She said, as Narcissa gave her an excited look.

"Why won't you two just tell me what you're so excited about!" Said Severus who was starting to get annoyed.

"So Lily, what will you get at Hogsmeade?" Narcissa and Lily ignored his question. "James, do you know what they are so excited for?" Asked Severus.

"No idea!" Said James as they stepped outside.

They continued to chat as they walked to Hogsmeade and Severus stayed suspicious of the three who claimed that it was nothing special that they were talking about.
